the guy reckons that theres only 1 other repairer in this area that do this type of repair
Does this type of repair or prepared to do this type of repair? Be careful my sheep loving friend, tyres are kinda too important to take a gamble with. £230 for a new one is cheaper than the consequences of a wrong decision at this stage.

Yeah Ron, i know where your coming from, this guy said it's a "sidewall major repair" and not many places do them due to the time involved and the repairer has to have certificates to show that they can carry out this type of repair.

It's not like a basic "plug & glue" repair, he did start to explain it to me but i was soaking wet and had taken 4 layers of skin off my knuckles trying to jack the car up whilst humouring the "have you got a puncture" guy, so i wasnt really in the listening and learning mood.

I'll be asking all the techy stuff when i go back for the wheel, in fact i may even get him to swap the repaired tyre for my new spare.

Has it been raining ? We haven't had any. At least you had a jack and spare. I just had the AA who didn't want to know unless I paid a fortune to get their attention. Marcus be praised

Oh well the tyre couldnt be repaired afterall, the nail had gone in and bent back around on itself and returned back through the tyre, basicaly causing two holes very close to each other.

So i'm picking up a new tyre today, £200 for a Continental all inclusive, best price i could find.

Anyway wheres that bronzed medallion man jassy these days ?

You are giving me far too much credit jassy. Genuinely I still cannot see from the original post what you was getting at and still can't. but thanks to the translation I can answer that all is well in our household. I had a stage 3 grievance meeting yesterday with some top people in our organisation and I feel that I represented myself rather well and am expecting a rewarding outcome. Three of them and me. Glad I wasn't paying the collective wage bill of the people in that room !

Well 6K miles on the clock and I love Pearl2 to bits. She is so comfortable and responsive and handles like a dream. The sound system is great and I love nothing more than cranking up the volume and enjoying the RCZ ownership experience. Ave 47mpg for the 6K miles so it doesn't cost much to enjoy her either
