Well I love all those films the harry potter are to replace the first ones I had on DVD LOTR the whole trilogy brilliant though the last one went on a bit at the end farewell frodo scene.

The Hobbit not seen yet but not sure how they will stretch it into a trilogy as for prequels the new version of The Thing is really good as was x-men first class.

The DA polisher though I'm excited to get it I'm a little nervous about trying it out ......excited but apprehensive

Apparently the West Midlands are no longer replacing the film in our static cameras, but relying solely on mobile speed cameras now. They're still to leave the static ones in place as a deterrent though.

Problem with the mobile units is that your camera alerts will not pick them up :thumbdown:
But I think the law says that there has to be a warning/sign, on approach of ALL types of camera :eusa-think:
It might be worth while, when passing a camera warning notice, adding it to your POI, even if there's no static camera in sight, as this could be a future mobile unit site.

There's a couple of locations in Swansea that have the signs up but there's no static camera's, but very often you will find a mobile unit lurking about there :evil:

So I'm on my way home from work and decide to pull into a local Texaco for some diesel, I go inside to pay and on my way out I see a fella filling up a Mercedes Kompressor, now I don't know why but something just clicked in my head and made me look at the number plate, and so there I was witnessing my first "fill up & drive off", the numbers and letters on the plate had been altered with black insulation tape.
This is in broad day light at 2pm, I had to stare at the car and the fella for a while just for it to sink in, I couldn't believe what I was seeing, I thought it was my imagination, so just in case I was about to make a prat of myself and save myself from shrieking out "THIEF" like a big girl, I decided to let a sales assistant know, who was cleaning the pumps nearby, he walked over to take a look at the plates and speak to the fella, and then it happened, all hell broke loose, the "bandit" jumped in his car realising he had been collard and sped off with the petrol pump knozzle still in the tank, petrol was gushing all over the place, he had ripped the knozzle clean away from the feed pipe. :crazy:

Now at this time my self preservation mode started to kick in, so I decided to be a real hero............. :evil: and threw myself straight behind a very large wall,and waited for the big bang, fire and explosion :helpme: :lol:

Armageddon never came, so as all the commotion was going off I just decided to jump in my car and drive off, the bandit was 2 or 3 cars ahead of me going like a bat out hell weaving in and out of the traffic, nobody was going to stop this fella :crazy:
I thought that was the last of it, but because I paid by card the garage had my details and I've just had a phone call from the plods who traced me through my bank card and I'm now waiting for the plods to arrive and take some details from me :roll:

Anyway cut a long story short, if you see a silver Mercedes Kompressor with a dodgy looking reg, and the filler cap is hanging off, tell the driver the Swansea plods would like to speak to him.

How exciting (and scary) that must have been! Well done for pointing out what was happening because too many people turn a blind eye to such things, the crooks get away with it and then more of us suffer the consequences. :thumbup:

To be honest what narked me most was that if this fella didn't want to pay for his fuel, then there was no way was he paying for his insurance, and knowing luck next time I saw him he would probably be running into the back of me :evil:

Apparently this filling up and driving off is rife in this area, according to my new policeman friend :dance:
Bet the neighbours are pulling their hair out wondering whats going on after seeing his Traffic Volvo parked outside the house for an hour,
