What do you do?

It was nothing exotic Scott, an extrusion operator.
Basicaly 30 years of making polythene.

This recent firm I was only there 5 months after being made redundant from a far bigger employer, where I did my 30 years.
So I've been laid off twice now in 5 months.

Lucky if I get a months pay m8.
To be honest in a strange way I'm a bit relieved, cos I just wasnt comfortable working for them, I always felt they were not good people, and the way they laid me off just proved it.

So sorry to hear this news Kerry. I had believed that you had fallen on your feet, especially with the excursions they sent you on. What an awful and shoddy way to terminate your employment  I truly wish you better fortune in the future. Seems that both my banter buddies are in the same boat at present and it's floundering. My prayers are for you mate.

No hard feelings mate. I'm just so saddened by your news. So unexpected to me as I thought that they had caught a good catch and appreciated you for what you brought to the table. However clearly that was not the case

Do you mean Canon, Ron? Unless you are perhaps signing this off by firing yourself at us through the digital realm? ;) Boom boom...(the sound of 'witty' observations and RON fired from a cannon). Seriously though, words of wisdom and a really nice sentiment Ron!

Archbishop Rizz aka the forum grammar pedant.

Ps - I am now terrified of making a grammatical or spelling error which, courtesy of my bloody iPhone, happens all the time.

It's a silent 'n' or was just a keying error or perhaps a Theakston Old Peculiar moment? Who knows?

I registered with Fuelly a while ago, but it is an American site and so when I first registered it was only in US gallons. So of no practical use to me in the UK. Seeing it on Donna's signature reminded me of it and so I checked it out again and low and behold, they have updated it, so now it is of use. Amazing the difference in MPG reported by the cars on board computer and Fuelly though. Time will tell as I get a few more fill ups recorded on it.
What's this about posh trucker? Rizz is a teacher!

I think Jassy was referring to yourself as being a posh mothertrucker (sorry couldn't resist)! ;)

Jassy - I'm not quite certain which holidays I'm enjoying. It might as well be bloody winter! Seven weeks in the world's greyest city (when the sun's not out...it sparkles like Ali Baba's cave when the sun makes an occasional visit) is filling me with despair!! Sadly the extravagances of getting married and an extended honeymoon have left me Aberdeen based this year. Mind you, at least when the sun isn't here, I don't have to look at the exposed mid riffs and sunburnt chebs of pug face, overweight ladies. Always a silver lining, huh?! :)

I missed Prometheus :( but will definitely catch it on DVD. I am not a fan of 3D films either. You gain FA from it being in 3D and get charged a couple of squids extra to sit in the dark with dodgy specs looking like a fanny and for no increased enjoyment. Nope..I'll pass on 3D thank you!! As for Dark Knight, you and me both mate...woohoo!! I CANNOT wait!!! I have a ticket waiting for the 8PM showing on the 20th...BOOM!!! Jen has been forewarned that, from that date forward, the RCZ shall be known solely as the "Mattmobile", i will speak in a very low tone for several weeks and all journeys home shall be preceded with, "to the Bat cave..." etc. Though she hides it well, I think she's looking forward to it. Probably just as well that our first wedding anniversary is the 16th of July!!!

Loving the billboard campaign too.

Anyhoo, not sure what this Fuelly banter is all about as signatures aren't displayed on this Tapatalk malarkey. What's the purpose of it?
