Just heard from my contact at my Peugeot dealer. He is to collect Pearl2 on Tuesday evening and so I'll be in a position to confirm the details of this upgrade and it's suitability to the NG4 WIP COM 3D. I reckon by next week I shall have full UK postcode compatibility

Take note of the versions already on your vehicle, don't forget to ask for your updates disc/usb since you paid for them.

At least you unlike me make good use of the time. I tend to leave my car engine running and go back indoors. So I worry that it is not doing my HDi any good ticking over for so long. This next update will be done at the dealers by them. It would have been done already had the discs arrived in time, but alas they didn't and then both my dealer and I were both off of work and so he had to bring my car back without the update being done. I'm hoping that he will collect my car this week and get the updating done ready for my visit to Peterborough at the weekend.

Does that mean the dealer will be running your car at tick over then?

Check where Dobbies is on something like Google maps as when I entered the post code it was in a different location.

Photographs taken of both the mapping and software version currently on the system

Yes, he will return Pearl2 when the job is complete  According to the information available to him it should take one hour to complete.

One of the great thing about the classic RCZ is the optional Peugeot Connect Media Navigation NG4 Wip COM 3D  It has more features than the current RT6 however both improve the interior aesthetics. The improvement in cab appeal is immeasurable to that of a non Media System interior.

Features that set new standards in communication, safety and entertainment. Video DVD player, Inbuilt 10 GB Jukebox, plays CDs and MP3/WMA files, digital hi-fi compatible, MP3 connectivity via an audio/video RCA.

Integral hands-free telephone with Bluetooth. Integrated hands-free GSM phone (requires SIM card), bluetooth hands-free kit, voice recognition technology, steering wheel controls.

GPS Satellite Navigation. You can choose and compare routes and use voice recognition technology. 7" high resolution display screen, Navteg Europe-wide mapping, 3D maps, real time traffic info and POIs, it highlights road junctions and intersections and lane guidance at key junctions.

Now you do not get this comprehensive package with a TomTom

Its the worst Sat nav in the world. A complete piece of SHI-E. It takes ages to do anything on it. A complete waste of money as an option. Useless.

I don't use it anymore apart from having it on just for camera detection. I have a Garmin stand alone unit instead attached to the air vent. It sits nicely and works! Garmin are the best and always have been.

You don't have to have the Sat Nav on for speed camera alerts. Select the option to alert you when the system is off.

I don't find the system too bad. It's better than the one in my OH's Land Rover which costs considerably more. Sometimes the postcode problem is a pain but there is a fix for that now. It always gets me to my location without any problems.

At last an update to the useless postcode feature! Am I right that Peugeot are expecting me to pay for this update? I paid extra for that useless thing so as far as I'm concerned it's not fit for propose and they can do it for free!

I bought the 2.80 update disc, it is doing the rounds at the moment.
If you want it pm me your details and I'll get it sent on.
Just check one of the earlier posts as it has a picture of the update instructions and make sure your version is on there.
I also bought the sat nav maps update. It's only when you have both updates done you get 7 digit postcodes. Again check what version your sat nav is at.
It might be that you only require the 2.80 firmware disc and this is the cheapest way as well.

Hi there,

Can someone please clarify exactly which disk I should be using to get my unit in my RCZ-R up to the latest 7 digit postcodes.

I "think" I have an RT6 in my 2014 RCZ-R
The software is listed as "RNEG2.75.C.5"

I have already ordered and collected an 9679221680 CD for amusingly £0.02 from my local dealer but it says is it "For NAVI DRIVE 3D /WIP COM 3D" which I don't think is right for me??

Reading the post from tianorth back on Tue Jul 15, maybe I should have got part number 9691737180 for 8.62 inc vat.....maybe?? I don't want to trash the SATNAV by loading the wrong s/w

My maps are all listed as 2013/14 so I assume they are OK?? I just need the right CD to go 7 digit postcodes.

Any help appreciated.

If your system looks like the link below then you have the RT6 system.

I have the firmware update disc and can get it sent on to you, a couple of other users are just using them at the moment.

I think the disc you have ordered is for the NG4.

The firmware update only give the ability to have 7 digit postcodes if you have the latest maps as well, it might be your maps are up to date and therefore the firmware update is all you need but if not the updates for the maps are also listed later in the thread.

Just pm me your address and I'll get the cd forwarded on.

Same for anyone else who wants the discs.

Chris
