£24k fir the RCZR IS very good but they gain with the higher interest rates, used car's have always a higher rate of interest
Their PCP worked out that I would be paying close to £29k overall with the max deposit and the HP was about £27k, suddenly seems less of a bargain with their higher interest rates, if they offered me £11,500 then it is a different ballgame with the balance able to be paid without the need for finance, yes it is only £2k but in that time I can free that up the car will probably be sold. Not the end of the world, I love my car, if they did the RCZ R in Dolphin Blue then it would be a different matter!

At the end of the day l suppose if you really really wanted the rczr you would get it,what was the max pcp deposit

I'm heading up that way in a couple of weeks time (some family live that way) if it is still there I will give it a test drive, if it sells before then my decision is made..... for now ;-)

I bought my RCZ 156 Sport on a PCP. It's approaching 3 years old, has 18,000 miles on it and if I want to buy it, it will cost me £10,700.

I've been looking to part ex it against either a Merc C Class Coupe or a Golf GTI. I've tried several dealers of each Marque and i'm not being offered anywhere near the £10,700. Average price i'm being offered is about £9,500.

My last car was Volvo on a PCP, and when I came to trade that there was quite a bit of equity that I used as a deposit for the RCZ, so these figures for the RCZ are very disappointing and would put me off getting another Peugeot.

A very rough look at the Cap Connect site shows your car is worth between £9,375 - £10,000.

Have a look at the site and get a more accurate price here: https://www.capconnect.co.uk/ConsumerValues/Ford.aspx

It sounds to me that the way your PCP deal has been structured is that your final optional payment is too high, which would have resulted in a lower deposit or monthly payment. Also trading it in to VW or Merc dealer will never result in top book trade-in price as it's very doubtful that either of those marques would retail the car themselves (Maybe VW but doubtful Merc). It would most likely go straight to a third party.

If you want the best deal then you will have to sell the car yourself and then simply pay off the remainder to Peugeot. That way you will be left with a little extra in pocket to put towards the next rental.

Like ED says it sounds as if the Remainder value was set overly high to reduce your monthly payments.

Alternatively going for another Peugeot might make the figures look more favourable.

That's exactly what's happening to my car on Monday next week - Audi send it straight off to an Auction Warehouse and move it on that way.
Someone is going to get a fantastic RCZ next week when it goes through that Auction, that's for sure
