It can be done but the headlamps on the facelift model are a slightly different shape, I believe. The originals are more pointy at the very front, or at least that's how they look to me.

Yes it will, it has been done and there are images of it on this forum

Did we ever see images of it with the gaps narrowed? I seem to recall it not looking terribly snugly fitted.

Those images were prior to the completion of it's transformation.

Not convinced that it is a good idea to do such a modification for many reasons

They also said "Peugeot is planning to introduce a diesel hybrid version by 2012, with an excellent 95g/km of CO2." So I wouldn't bank on that 2016 change date being 100% accurate

Think that has been superseded by the facelifted model.

The diesel hybrid idea was dropped by Peugeot a long time ago, if I remember rightly.
