So back to the topic, went to go fetch the RCZ from the dealer on friday, on my way home i find myself next to a 2004 lotus elise (non-supercharged - if i remember right they had the asthmatic 1.8 Toyota Run X engine). We are rolling in 1st at about 30 kph towards a set of lights that are about to go green. As they go green I am on the throttle ahead of the lotus and pull 1 car length, hook 2nd (with a surprising amount of wheelspin - guess she is loosening up rather nice) and pull another 1/2 a car and by the end of 3rd i was about 2 cars ahead.
But was the Lotus driver feeling that he had anything to prove to a Pug driver? or was he merely going Christmas shopping?

Lol, there is no need for him to go shopping, he was already served a steaming slice of humble pie

Racing on public roads ie at traffic lights, try this on any other forum and you would warned then BANNED, as you are deemed to be promoting dangerous driving  But your let off with this, on this "very Liberal minded forum" Max you may have started this thread but I WILL post whatever i want on any thread without breaking forum rules....Capeesh

General Community Discussion - Anything RCZ

I dont see a problem with it. Most threads will deviate from the main topic of the thread, but all I have seen is branched discussion around someone replying to the original question.

And looking through the rules, this condition is on there.
Without limiting the foregoing, the following behaviours are strictly prohibited:
• Posting to insight friction, negative reactions or posts designed to cause disruption within the forum,

I don't see how out accelerating another car is illegal or dangerous. I havent seen any mention of anyone wheel spinning up to the line or exceeding the speed limit.

As i have said its a very, very liberal ruled forum, just by the indication/implication of speeding without a speed being reached/stated on a post. Any member would be warned then banned from any other car forum i have witnessed this on other car forums

He is promoting dangerous driving "TLGP" his acronym,he should re name his Avatar McFly because most of the time he thinks he is driving a De lorean time machine

This is a fun thread where folks can post some spirited experiences with their RCZ's. They (RCZ's) are not only intended to look good you know ;) And as per Top Gear South Africa, the THP200 is the "Enthusiasts Choice" ;) so it would be sad to just potter along driving Mrs Daisy... Mrs Daisy would probably not fit in the back anyways LOL!
