RCZ v 350z

Great photo, I like the way you light-painted the silhouette of the cars.

I wouldn't have done the circles in the middle because they distract a bit from the cars, but it's still a VERY good car-presentation.

Haha, these were the two cars I was looking at when looking at getting a new car!

Def would have got a blue 350 though.

Likewise!!! For me personally it was a very weird experience. I got out of the 350 test drive thinking 'that was nice' but I had no desire to get back in it, hence going for the RCZ instead. Some cars just have that x-factor and some don't...and its different for everyone.

Glad to see I wasn't alone!

For me the Z swayed it by having a large enough boot to fit one of these in easily

Although it is TECHNICALLY possible in a 350z, but the support beam in the back makes it difficult. You have to move the driver and passenger seats all the way forwards and wedge it between the seats and the support bar :p

Since then, however, I prefer the looks of the RCZ from the back. I think if you merged the front end of the 350z and the rear of the RCZ you'd have an amazing car.

As long as it was that Nissan coloured blue ;)

Nice cab!!

As big as the RCZ boot is I still had to buy a separate car for all the gear I hump to gigs! (Apologies for the thread drift )

I saw one and walked past of the 350z parked on a street here in town a few weeks ago and i do think they look better in person than on pictures. Wouldn't mind having one of those either actually but i don't want to feed it with fuel, as they aren't exactly cheap on that.... :D

Personally prefer the 370z but the 350z is still a nice car. Interior is a bit poor and the fuel bills would terrify me but they can't half shift!!

Yeah the interior doesn't have the quality feel or style of the RCZ. But I did like the way the instrument binnacle moves with the steering wheel when you adjust it. That made a lot of sense!

It took me ages to find a seating position which was both comfortable and enabled me to see the temp and fuel guages properly!

Strange how we're all the same yet we're all different! It's the exact opposite for me, I've had to compromise in the RCZ. My steering wheel clips the top of the fuel and temp gauges but if I have it where I prefer it those gauges are totally obscured. I guess the ideal would be an independently adjustable binnacle.

Not wishing to sidetrack this but I've always found the RCZ's driving position a little bit of a weakness. I have to sit so far back and so low as the pedals are so high and I need the head clearance yet the steering rake is so high that the dials are partially obscured and the steering rake doesn't pull out far enough unless you were to have disproportionately long arms. I've gotten used to it now so it bothers me much less but I do find it occasionally niggling.

I agree with most of this. I have disproportionately long legs which means I need the seat quite far back and the steering wheel at full extension isn't quite close enough.
