Booked my R in and having the oil, oil filter and plugs done for circa £280, only 2.5K miles since a full service when car was supplied by main dealer to previous owner; and I changed the oil when I bought her (1K ago). I will replace the cabin filter myself as the cost for the Dealer to supply and fit is a joke, air filter not needed as fitted a 'performance' one. All purely for the stamp and keeping the Warranty intact as the car will be mostly laid up over Winter in a heated garage. :(

I thinks I'm coming round your gaff when the weather turns LOL.... I'll bring my sun glasses.

Yes indeed, just put two coats of Dodo Supernatural Wax on her, gleaming!

How's your cover, I am interested in how that goes this Winter?

Right so I've covered myself in beeswax, does that give me entry to your heated garage- LOL !!

The cover is really good, the water just runs off. I appreciate what you say about winter, but I never put the cover on after a drive, I always clean the car and wax it before putting the cover on. Since it is really that good at repelling water, it will never sit with condensation or wet underneath and as such should not get damaged by any frost / freezing weather. So the theory goes !

Cheers

Car serviced whilst I waited by the Dealer; new oil and plugs.

Got the old plugs back and they look very well used/blackened guess it's the high compression/heat from the lump given they have only had circa 3K on them. The pre MoT check found a broken spring front n/s right at the top of the coil/top mount area, well hidden, so MoT failed. I could not feel any issue but did have a knock on some road surfaces. Thankfully I have the MOT insurance with the Peugeot Warranty so two new springs have been ordered to be replaced by the Dealer. Again thankful for the warranty as now getting on for £1600 worth of warranty claims

Aux/water pump belt has small visible cracks..so that is getting changed....guess that is due to the heat too as car is low mileage.
