Weird how they have 3, all look nice especially the low mileage one.Another new one has popped up today. I see the same dealer now has three cars.
They do have their numbers wrong how many are left in the UK.

How many are left in the UK? and where do you find the information?
Thanks for that, very interesting reading, there Seems to be a few gone missing.PEUGEOT RCZ R THP - How Many Left?

As of Q3 2022 there was 259 taxed and 18 sorn.
There is a few dealers that have helped boost/influence the prices or rarer cars by snapping up a good percentage of them. They need to earn reputation as a specialist though.
If it was the one pictured inside the garage...seller in Kent....it was circa £15k...looks like purchaser was burnt big time.
Luckily I didnt go for a white one at the time, it had to be red or black. Have noticed the garages are struggling to sell them recently so the free fall has started again.Something didn't feel right with me about the car when it was for sale.
The mileage is the same when the car was sold on eBay. The engine must have lasted 5 minutes.

If i did buy another one it would have to extremely low mileage.....
The white one never felt right to me. The car has only done a tiny amount of miles since the sale. The engine must have blown up within a handful of miles.
A brand new engine and turbos sounds good in a car at £11,995. That car has to sell soon. It has been on sale for ages.
One one R has sold lately. The black one at the lower end of the market. It does look as if the demand is there for lower priced usable cars. Buyers aren't paying a premium for low mileage cars they have to store to save the value.
Very true about the value I agree, there is also though the issue with the R with the front brakes, callipers that seize is a big issue, I think also this is not mileage related unless the car is dry stored, this could be having an effect on prices given what you may have to spend.
Peugeot have been very stubborn with me with regard to replacement of the callipers under warranty , although it was obvious the inner pistons were seized the inspector demanded a full strip down before authorisation for new callipers, my bill could have been eye watering if I had to cover, that said I would have had them rebuilt with the stainless pistons from Godspeed.
They've approved the calipers now? It will be good to get new calipers, but you'll face the same issues further down the line.
We should be getting together with the Peugeot 308 Gti owners and pressing for Peugeot and Alcon to sort what is clearly an inadequate design. We should not require to replace brake calipers every few years.
It's not mileage related. The pistons are exposed and will corrode regardless. You've effectively only got one set of brake pads life in a set of calipers. They will be corroded at this stage and if you push the pistons back in they will start to stick on the next set of pads.
What do companies charge to refurbish the calipers? I know the parts are £290.
I don't think many owners would find stripping down the brakes and sending them off very convenient. Does anyone offer a drive in service?
I had mine done at the peugeot specialist after I ordered the parts from Godspeed, got charges for 2hrs labour which was approx £100I don't think many owners would find stripping down the brakes and sending them off very convenient. Does anyone offer a drive in service?
Here is what the brakes looks like. The pistons are chrome coated mild steel. They corrode, the chrome comes off the piston and you end up with jammed pistons.
Speaking to a brake specialist this problem isn't confined to us with our Peugeots. It's a widespread Alcon issue and one they don't admit.
Very interesting, those callipers look awful, reading up on Alcon they supply their brakes to some very impressive marques.
I ran APs on my last car and they needed a lot of TLC to keep in top condition, I never washed them with the car along with the alloys, it was wheels of every 2 months and I cleaned the callipers with A cloth soaked in WD 40 and did the alloys off the car, I think a lot of racing brakes Can’t be treated like road brakes with general washing etc.
It does seem crazy with the design that they are chrome plated, but there has to be a reason they do this? on reading reviews they have an excellent record on track.
Does your brake specialist see this With any other manufacturer ?
Those calipers are 3 years old and have done less than 20,000 miles. The dirt and oil hides cosmetically they are in really good condition. It was an effort to get the pistons out. The pistons are corroded, the chrome breaking up and scoring the piston.
He was talking about Land Rover calipers. I can't remember who made them. They buy new calipers and immediately change the pistons.
Alcon only supply the same pistons that come with the calipers originally. They won't admit they have a fault. The chrome plated mild steel pistons are also more expensive than stainless replacements.
Wait until you get your car back and feel how different the brakes are when they are operating properly.
