RCZ R Demonstrator

You'd be surprised ;-) I think it is more laziness than anything or getting used to the technology from having a Punto with zero assistance before. It helps when I am coming home from a night shift at 7am, just stop when you hear the beeps is easier than looking at the mirrors/out the window haha!

Interesting about the numbers, I guess there wouldn't be much demand for 300p/a but would expect more than 300 total as they have done 500 (off the top of my head) Magnetic models. Looking forward to seeing it tomorrow, may take one for a test drive just in case!

no pressure there for me then ;) I took some great pics of it when it was a concept at Paris motor show, but sadly wasn't able to look inside it. It will be just on my Galaxy S4, but will do my best :)

Not even the quality tbh. Two photos of the rear end and one very poor one at that. Good job it'll sell itself anyway...

Why do you need front parking sensors? I've never had them and never felt the inclination. You can judge where the front of your car is - surely ? ;)

They're utterly over protective anyway. I continually overrule them anyway...!!

You're a braver man than me mrizzle!

Really sorry guys but I didn't get to the dealer in the end, you can all thank my poorly cat who I had to take to the vets beforehand and afterwards I sat in a queue a mile from the dealer before giving up and coming home! Will hopefully get to the dealer closer to home and check that out this week or next, sorry!! :-(

he is fine, just been chomping laptop cables again and got a sore throat, though I may let him off if it turns out to be asthma! The new macbook charger has already come out of his dreamies fund!

Normally dealerships get 2 of a new model :eusa-think: one stays in the showroom, the other the is allocated to the top dog and can be used for short test drives...its always been the case in car dealership

That's interesting. I don't think it has been that well publicised by Peugeot if I'm being critical. Sure, those who avidly read car magazines/e-zines and who are in the know about cars will know about it but there's been a lack of general promotion I think. They'd have shifted the demo model fairly quickly I'd have thought, especially with a marked down price!!

The number of posts on here about the RCZ being under powered and it needs to drive like it looks etc etc. Peugeot have responded. Where are those people now ? :eusa-shhh:

It's still early days guys. Give it time and I'm sure they will start appearing on our roads. We didn't see "normal" RCZs on our roads as soon as they were launched. It just takes time for them to start rolling off the production line.

I have a feeling the time of year is playing a part too. With the potential for snow in the next month or two I personally wouldn't want to have ordered one for delivery until I was sure I would be able to drive it rather than garage it! Perhaps we'll see more orders being placed in the next couple of months ready for the better weather?

I'm sure that you would Max. There was just such a lot of "hot air" a while back about the power etc, but those critics seem to have been struck dumb now

Hi 0058RON I have been to my dealers where thay have a R and think it really does look superb, but think the big problem for peugeot at the mo is that price..... yes its got cracking engine, lovely new seats etc etc but it just needs to be a cheaper i think to get the interest that it deserves. As said before their are to many good cars out and coming which are just that bit cheaper . New Seat leon Cupra another one for example had a couple of these in the past fantastic car, the new one with 280bhp ,full leds , dab radio sat nav , very good spec as standard £28.500 ....... Well time will tell as as you say but if the price changes i will get one :eusa-shhh:
