viewed a black rcz r on Saturday, nice car but probably too fast for us old timers. love the seats and the twin exausts.
the fixed spoiler is ok but I prefer the standard one when its not open.it seems a lot of dosh to buy and it will depreciate
a lot over three years. overall an impressive motor but not much between the gt and the r in my opinion.

Not sure as he said it was a new dark grey colour and he couldn't remember the exact name.

I assume they mentioned the GTI because there's been so much hype going on about this "new" version.

By the way, for those of you who are interested in squeezing the most out of the R (me :) ), here are some very promising lap times:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7_83g9zVuk#t=460

Only 0.5s off the pace of an M3 around the track!!! Holy hell, i knew it was going to be fast, didnt know it was going to be that fast!!

One for you max if you can link this as can't from my phone. :thumbup Peugeot RCZ R Is Faster Than a 2014 Renault Megane RS?! [Video]

They only come in four colour options, they being Opal White, Nera Black, Moroccan Red and Mercury Grey so I guess it must be either Nera Black or Mercury Grey. Love these knowledgeable dealers

I'm a little surprised by how much lighter the R is compared to the Megane. Be interested to see how they compare around a track.

The status quo of this "CAR" was in "2" car magazine's... was... its "NO track superstar"....fook me get real, "more of a fine grand tourer", this Thread is getting more like "School girl"" boy band HYSTERIA" ALL BECAUSE...some Pug Has only 266 bhp with a interior thats basically made up of pug 308 all for the small sum of £32,000

Get a grip

The MEGANE is a relic "engine wise" great chassis but a dinosaur. So not a REAL comparison....Go buy a New Golf R THEY WILL BE JUST AS rare as a RCZ-R and faster, better built, better to drive,BETTER ALL ROUND...and will be better value for YOUR hard earned money :eusa-whistle:

Stop screaming and pulling your hair out till you buy one and own one...and if your still silly enough to get one..then watch a £26,000 Astra GTC,a £26,000 Focus ST3 Mountuned,or even a old MK II Focus RS,Blast past ye, on any road  hey but you can always take solace in the fact your RCZ-R is far far far better looking far far more expensive WITH A FAR,FAR INFERIOR BUILD QAULITY....with FAR,FAR WORSE RESIDUALS....

Thanks for the great input Jassy!

Can't wait to get my hands on second hand RCZR then, if bad residuals work in our favour! Faster and much better looking than a MEGANE RS at half the price! And some spare change to fix the odd quality issues, unless you get a 2 year old one, still under factory warranty! The bargain of the century if you ask me!

Ps. The last time I checked, people join forums because they like the products of interest, in this case the RCZ. Not to try and spark controversy by badmouthing other peoples pride and joy. Where are your manners boy?

Come on Jassy all cars are based on the cars in that model line.

RCZ R = 308 interior, more powerful engine, bucket seats and poor residuals (possibly)
Your Focus ST = Standard Focus interior, more powerful engine, bucket seats and poor residuals.

And Ford quality isnt that great either.

What's the difference?

The difference is the RCZr is exciting as Peugeot has never done anything like this before which is pretty exciting and will be a lot rarer on the road than your Focus .

For example if i remember the Ford RS 500 was supposed to be the bees knees and sold for well over the RCZ R's price but sold out straight anyway but has lost thousands, the point was it was different and people didnt care if they lost money it was the fact that that the car was different to anything that Joe public would own , so the Peugeot is really no different than anybody else!

Drive something that is different :D
