Nice reg!! Well played sir! Yup, it'll be a mark 1 and you've picked a cracker with the options. The Zunsport is the exhaust that used to be offered as the feline pack. If it is purely for cosmetics (and a minor change in exhaust note) then that's the badger to go for and I wouldn't think it'd affect your warranty as RCZ1 stated. Get a K&N filter in there. I have one in mine and it does make the engine a little perkier, it's a cheap mod, will reduce the number of air filter changes required and it can be fitted yourself with ease.

Totally agree on the reg being personal. Never really got the point of making them suit a particular car, especially when it wont add much value (if any come re-sale time). My wife bought mine for my 30th birthday hence X30 DER. I've had it on every car since.

Lol... Sorry AA04 MS0 but will hopefully space to read A A04MS O (A ADAMS)

You're asking for trouble doing that ....my OH contributed to the police Xmas ball by doing just that.

He altered SB04 STY to S B04STY and got fined. (His surname is Boast).

That was a good few years ago now. A lot of number plate makers won't alter the spacing these days, and if they do, you have to sign a disclaimer, accepting any responsibility. It's also an MOT failure ... not that that's relevant yet.

Remember that a decent personal plate will appreciate in value, I bought mine back in 1976 when we had the old green log books, I was recently offered £3,500 for it, not bad for a £200 investment!

Why thank you sir!! They certainly are one of the best looking motors on the road currently, certainly makes a change from my previous car (M5) and makes a damn lot of difference at the pumps too.. They just ooze - wow factor

Point taken, been looking at the zunsport exhaust earlier and have to say I'm very tempted, also looked at exterior mods including the rc line and musketier dynamic kit. Like a kid in a sweet shop, though do think she looks good enough without any further mods...

I'm not personally a fan of the musketier range of modifications. Have you looked at some of the Ruffer ones. They are much more subtle and understated. Personally, I think these are more fitting of such a stylish car. However, everything is subjective. It's your baby, for you to enjoy and you do whatever YOU want to do it!! Keep us posted!

Yeah I appreciate im to be extra cautious with the spacing on the plate, wouldn't want a jobworth / arsey copper pulling me and actioning me to change them.... I'm sure there's ways round trying to present it as best as we can legally. I'll see what I can do

Well, mine is both personal and legal  Why give the boys in blue an excuse to stop you? It's never a good thing and is always inconvenient

I did look at the ruffer mods and agree, they are far more subtle and work well with the car, I'm just a little disappointed that they don't offer the whole kit as a job lot and pass some discounts onto the customer, ala musketier.. True northerner, "how much"

I'll keep you all upto speed and post some pics in due course.

Good chatting to you all

Hi CityGent,
Sadly I belong to the "poser" group and am always a bit embarassed when people point it out. I checked it out for 6 months on DVLC site before buying but could not resist in the end.
As my name is Sue, I have SU51 RCZ - it was just too good to miss. I do have someone interested in buying plate if ever I sell the car - NOT anytime soon!!
The choice is up to you but it does make more sense to have something personal to you - many years ago I bought an old Mini which came with SUE 18M plate. Mini was ancient and had to sell plate in the end to afford replacement car but I did make money on the deal, always a good investment.
Good luck with your choice.

Personal and legal all the way! Just added mine to the Z now DVLA have finally earned their £80 - what do you think?

10 is my favourite number, followed by my initials and finally V because I wanted a symmetrical first letter...
