RCZ Meet in Belgium - 25/09/2016

We are booked in at Lafarques in Pepinster for Saturday night and Le Chateau de Namur in Namur for Sunday night. Not booked in to the restaurants yet, waiting to see if any arrangements were going to be made for evening meals.

Concerning hotel accommodations. Most of the hotel are small and don't have enough chambers available to recieve a small group of people. Their are a lot of hotels is Spa that is only 15km away of Aywaille. So if you looking to book a hotel you will surtenly a room in Spa. Spa is a very nice town.

Last Saturday I went to explore the ride for the first time. I hope you like turns because that's one of the few things where they have no shortage of in the Ardennes. The Abbey of Rochefort is unfortunately not open to visitors. Unlike for example the Abbey of Maredsous the keep monks here only brew beer, they don't have no other commercial activities and there is also no catering facility at the Abbey. The route is fixed and now I can start to the road book.

This morning I received by email the confirmation from the municipality of La Roche-en-Ardenne that they will reserve for us the necessary parking spaces.

La Roche-en-Ardennen is a very nice town and we will stop here for our lunch. They have a lots of restaurants and you will have the time to visit the town.

We stayed one time in "The Royal Snail" hotel. It's at the bottom of the Citadel of Namur, Next to the Grand Casino.

Off course you have other options :

If you have never been to Gent (130km) it's also a very nice city to visit and it's on the way to the ferry

Or maybe you can take a Hotel in Brussel (70km)
