There is more to it than weight and engine power, it's also about construction of the frame etc. e.g. a Peugeot 308 SW is allowed to tow 1300 kg, so it just seems the RCZ was not built to tow (horses for courses).
^ This. The structural strength of the tow bar mounting points must be considered even before kerb weight and engine power, so best not to exceed the manufacturers design specs.
If they designed the tow bar mounting points like they did the jacking points............ :eusa-think:
(Gill, just in case you are not aware, the jacking points are made of cheese, not the solid mature cheddar type of cheese, more a crumbly Cheshire type, designed to break as soon as something solid contacts them, like, a jack)
