Doesn't make good reading for Peugeot ... 10 out of 15 RCZ's have had faults ... Factor in the couple of people who probably have had a fault but love the RCZ so much they won't want to diss it , it's even worse ;-)

I dont visit the forum as much as I used to, but whenever I do there always seems to be another, problem/fault/issue/gremlin or "characteristic" added to the list. :eusa-think:
And I totaly agree with Mikey that some owners are blinded by their love of the RCZ that they will not diss it, and just pass the probs off too softly .

But isnt that a problem developing in its early stages , already noted on here many times. :eusa-think:
Personaly I would of ticked yes, even if the fault has not fully developed yet, as its only a matter of time. :?

Yes but the poll says have you had any technical issues ... Not major problems... So technically you should have ticked yes. So like I said in my earlier post .. People will tick no when really they have had issues !!!! :brickwall:

Well in defense of the rcz l havnt had really any problems of real concern my last car a Honda civic type R gt had a lot more the battery kept going flat the AA was called on at least a dozen occasions the whole rear tailgate lense was replaced due to ingress of water turning the lense green because of fungi the cars paint was a joke the door mirrors groaned the passenger's door mirror element stopped working so in comparison to the rcz the rcz is better much better l know l knock the rcz on other points road holding and steering and lack of power but l should have got the 200 gt really coming from a hot hatch but next time ...eh? I am sitting on the porch outside my house having just washed and waxed the rcz it looks stunning and all traffic going past just now just slow and stare at it never has any of my cars in the past done this so much which makes up for the cars short comings easily

You're putting your head above the parapet to be shot down there, Jassy ;)
Don't you know that you can't claim to have not had any faults with the RCZ, because you must surely be lying shock horror :) it is indeed a crime to even enjoy the RCZ in some people's eyes.

If that was aimed at me it was pretty pathetic !!!!
I'm getting shut of our RCZ because of numerous problems ... Quite a few of the problems we've had are very common and some of them are not .... I just think its about time Peugeot took notice of how many people are having issues with there flagship model, and are not happy with it , and they need to start listening to the customer.

If your all happy to put up and shut up about problems your having then more fool you, as Peugeot will do nothing to improve future models. On the other hand if we make ourselves heard Peugeot will have to listen and improve things !!!!

Why would you think it was aimed at you? Following on from various posts on here, I'm airing my opinion, as I see it.

You've had your problems with your RCZ, I know that BUT not everyone has and some people seem to find it hard to get their head around that concept. However, we are a very small minority of RCZ owners on here and if Peugeot will listen to what is being said, then all well and good. However, trying to tarnish every car with the same brush is not helping anyone. You had problems and now you've chosen to get rid, so move on. I don't see the need to keep going over old ground all the time. Again, my opinion ;)

Well I dont give a toss who aims anything at me. Anyone visiting this site, with an ounce of sense can see that the RCZ has a growing list of faults, they will also see that there are owners who will defend the RCZ, no matter what, and then there are others who say it as it is. The REALISTS !

I paid hard earned money for a car that DOES have faults, so if I want to shout off about it then I will.
Yes I still love the RCZ and still enjoy all the attention it receives, I still give it the weekly pampering, still park it out on its own in car parks, and still argue daily with the kids in the street if they get too close to it. They dont call me The Grinch for nothing !
However none of my RCZ fetish's can change the facts............THE RCZ HAS FAULTS.

Ok granted, some cars are worse than others, and theres even the odd one that supposedly runs like a watch, but come on, get real, just look at the number of problems being listed on here daily, there ARE MORE owners complaining (ok moaning if you prefer that phrase) than ones that are not, and even some of the owners who constantly try to defend the car have had issues in the past, it does not matter if those issues were delt with, they are still issues, and that is what this poll is asking.

So I think owners should just put their hands up and get real. You can still love the RCZ ( I do ), you can still praise the good points, but lets just ALL be honest about it !

I was in a Tesco car park 2 weeks ago looking for a space out of the way, after spending a few mins driving around I found a secluded spot and parked up, when me and Mrs H were walking into the stores entrance an old fella stopped us and said he had seen us driving around and loved the look of the car but didnt know what it was, so like a dog with 2 dicks I proudly & loudly announced "Peugeot RCZ GT", "ah" said the old chap , continueing with "they are the ones that look like the TT, but much nicer" !!

"yep" I said "but much nicer", he then followed up with a leaving comment "but it's a Peugeot so cannot be built as good as the TT " !!

Now I cant comment on the build quality of the TT, but I think this old fella did have a fair point. The RCZ at the end of the day is a Peugeot through and through :? .

:text-goodpost: ..... also an opinion I share.

Nothing in this world is perfect ..... and that probably goes for the TT too. I personally know someone that had one and wouldn't touch another one with a barge pole......

Also what one person would call a 'niggle' ..... in my humble opinion .. would be things such as rusty hubs, groaning mirrors as they are just minor annoyances .... whereas 'problem's, again in my opinion would be ones that actually cause safety issues or engine problems.

So.....when I cast my vote, I voted NO - I've just had annoyances........

Donna,
those "niggles" that you mention are in fact faults that are delt with under warranty, therefore could and should be addressed as a technical fault, just as the poll asks.

With regards to owners who have rusty hubs and returned to Peugeot. Are they rectifying this by means of replacing them, and are the applying preventative measures such as painting the hubs to stop rust returning or is this left to the RCZ owner?

I've read on here that some owners have had complete new hubs under warranty.
One local dealer suggested that I paint them like "the boy racers do", :?
Another said it WAS a warranty claim. :eusa-think:
