Ordering my second RCZ

Hi

I'm thinking about buying my second RCZ trading the old one in, but before I do does anyone know anything more about the facelift that was mentioned on this site.
I have spoken to the dealer and their not aware of one, so throwing caution to the wind by asking around on here.

Cheers

Rumours I heard were that it was due in 2012 and seeing as they have just launched a new 308 with new front grill this seems more likely now

Why so soon the change merchant seaman? How many miles have you done?

I'd be interested to know if you would go for the same spec / colour or something completely different?

I like the look of the new front of the 308, especially the running lights. The RCZ should have had something similar from the beginning.

Thanks for the heads-up

Got to get to that Audi Garage pre-December 2012 for the best Trade-In price

You've got to be a complete NUT to buy a new one now knowing this news.
At least most of us on here will have had a couple of years before we own the "old model".

Disappointed that it's having a lift so soon into it's life - isn't it usually about five years.

Wow, one (potential) Service in owning a car - never had that before.

Like most PSA parts it will likely be a mornings work to swap over the bumpers to a facelift..

I don't recall where I heard/read about it, But I seem to recall hearing that the updated RCZ was to have the front end from the car that is currently a concept model Ie the Peugeot SR1.
I love the looks of the SR1 and want it if it is ever built. Very Aston Martinish in my opinion

If the new version comes with a rear bumper that is set-up for dual exhaust and it will fit on earlier models, then I am very interested.

I reckon we will see the Hybrid DERV before the face lift.

2.0 HDi - 170 BHP
twin leccy motors at rear

210Bhp in total.

i think the facelift will be due for 2014.

peugeot will know not to change the design majorly because of the car not being out for so long (look at the volkswagen Scirrocco that is more than 3 years old now and that has not been updated yet)

the order books are very full for the RCZ currently (you tend to bring in the facelift when the product life cycle is leaving maturity and entering decline then you do a facelift to act as an extension strategy. (for the car industry it tends to be around 3-5 years depending on the demand for the car)

other variations are likely to be in the pipe line. (RCZ roadster, RCZ Super Sport (Faster Petrol Version), Possibly Le Mans Edition (Faster Diesel Edition) and the version others mentioned a Hybrid/electric version)

I imagine any design change to come along will be extremely minor probably just the addition of LED's on the front and black headlights thats it really and maybe some minor tweaks with the interior and minor exterior changes.

Hi RCZ1, Rob

The only reason for the thought of change was the rumoured facelift, I do agree the RCZ should have had the LED lights from the start, just to take the look away from the 308 but that's only a small criticism for an outstanding looking car.

I would go for the same spec GT with sat nav, as for colour, I do love the black but as anyone who knows who has a black car after spending hours cleaning it,then driving it for a couple of hours it's disheartening to see the amount of dust which has accumulated on it, made worse by seeing the water stains on the doors from the wing mirrors after rain fall.

Millage it has just under 3,500 that's in a year, with my job I guess in two years I would have clocked up 6,000 or 7,000 miles, It's just a play thing for when I come home on leave, Obviously the girl friend is not allowed to use it while I'm away ! lol

If the facelift doesn't come out for a couple of years then I might go for the roadster
