Looks incredible! I'm having one of those "NEED this doing to my car!!" moments

Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I'm having the same feelings

Ron, could be the next Detailing Wright job, eh?!
I couldn't get the right deal on the van though, I thought you'd dropped the idea.

I've got a can last month of eBay but the chances of getting a warm sunny day over here to use it are slim. Only good days seem to be when I'm at work Sod's law or wot. At least now i know it'll be worth the wait.

Well it wasn't sunny when I was doing it, very overcast but remember its the panel temperature not the air temperature. It was about 15 degrees in the air today but the panels were 22 degrees at the lowest going up to 30 degrees.

Yea the newer liquid 1 in the bottle doesn't need as high a panel temp, but its not as easy to use as the spray more like C1 application so i took the easy way out and got the spray of eBay, gtechniq website only do the bottles now. Checked the vids on YouTube and its just like a quick detailing spray even if it was on an enzo.

if i was to polish the car , before applying the exo ..what do you mean when you say panel wipe down , could you not apply exo after polish !! what do you have to get to do a panel wipe down :?

As far as i know the panel wipe is to remove all residue from polishing to make sure the Exo bonds to the paint. As for panel wipe I'd assume I'd use carpro erasure or like

Surely you could top up this product on any polished/wax surface as its a kinda quick detailer :eusa-think:

Panel wipe is £7.99. So if ur happy with ur paint finish spray on wipe spread with microfibre then apply Exo in the same way. Only do 2nd coat of Exo. Or if ur not happy with ur finish u'll have to polish ur car 1st. There are videos on u tube by gtechniq showing u wot to do follow them and u'll be fine that's wot i did before using C1

You need to use Panel Wipe to remove all the oils left from the polish so that EXO or C1 can adhere to the paintwork properly.
http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/ac ... anel-wipe/

Instructions for the application of EXO are enclosed in the link below (can be found towards the bottom of the page on the link).
http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/ex ... d-coating/

EXO comes with a suede cloth (if you order from Gtechniq) which helps with application as it doesn't absorb the product as much as it does if using a microfibre cloth. You also need 2 microfibre cloths for removing any residue. You don't buff just lightly wipe down where you see any residue remaining.

Jassy, it isn't a Quick Detailer so can't be applied over anything apart from C1 or bare paint after polishing and Panel wipe down. You are compromising the performance of the product otherwise and you won't get the durability. Please bear in mind that the new version EXO v2 is not an aerosol so even more unlike a Quick Detailer.

i read on the website its best to do 2 coats ..is that what you also applied to the merc .... i guess even with the panel wipe (which i guess does not take away the shine of the polish) its still very good value at less than £50 for best part of 2 years protection after all you can pay more than that for wax and that wont give as long protection

Yes I did do 2 coats on my sisters car and no the panel wipe down won't remove the polish. It actually reveals the true finish of your paintwork because the oils from the polish can fill swirls or scratches therefore masking them.

She drove back home last night (2 hour drive) and I asked her this morning how her car was looking. "Incredible" was her reply and her neighbour had asked her where she had taken her car to be done lol.

If you are having panels painted then you have to wait 6 weeks I think it is before waxing/sealing.

Once that time has passed, then
wash,
decontaminate the car fully,
polish
Panel wipe down
Apply EXO according to instructions (as per link in earlier post) x 2 coats

is it advisable to use the panel wipe on the plastics and glass or will the exo be ok on top of glass cleaner ..

You mention above RCZ1 that if the car is being painted you should wait 6 weeks before sealing. Surely the same applies for a new car also? I am getting geared up to do full detail within days of collection?
