The second one resembles a pencil sketch in my eyes. I like them both

I like the first photo. Your right, the bridge does mirror the double bubble and well composed.

For me, the second one doesn't quite work. The bridge is not adding anything to the picture / the format not quite right.

Your processing is very good though and quite subtle for HDR/tone mapping.

Keep up the good work :)

Nice pictures Opal White and happy to see you have not overdone the effect which is so easy with HDR/TM. Personally I am not one for effects as they are often applied to make dull images look clever but you have got some great composition, background and a cropping going on in them two shots.

Don't you just love art? :)

Everyone has different ideas / likes / dislikes but it's what makes it such a great subject. It's thought provoking :)

I particularly like the first shot and the way the double bubble is echoed by the bridge. Mind you perhaps the same "echoing" could be echoed under the "Golden Arches" of a Macdonald's sign. :eusa-think: It'd probably make for a less scenic and stunning shot mind you.

Anyway, and more seriously, good shooting!! I've never really played around with HDR/tone mapping but that's mostly because so many shots end up looking over processed and I feel that it takes away more than it gives. Not on this occasion though. Maybe I'll have a play around with it some time.

Well said!! It is truly subjective and shows how differently we view the world.

Is it just me or does the first picture remind you of Roger Moore's famous rased eyebrow

Still no snow here at home in NE England (thankfully :eusa-shhh: ) but a little time on my hands for a quick edit between two of my photos (snow scene from a few years ago).

I guess it's far from a natural photo but was worth a go for a bit of fun . . . . :eusa-think:
