If your management light is on, you should be able to get a code(s) using an obd2 reader. This might relate to the issue with the display not working but still showing orange when the car is off.

Obd2 readers can be obtained from many sources on the internet, and range from just a few pounds upwards.

Once you have a code(s) depending on the reader, you will be able to find d out what this refers to. If you post the code on here, there are members that will be able to help with the meaning of the code.

It might be that the management warning is unrelated to the display fault, but at least its a place to start.

Hi Guys..just to let you all know iv'e manage to get the multifunction display working again
took it to my local garage ...what they did was to reboot the radio by taking both leads from
the battery for around 20 mins problem solved..in case this happens to anyone else
just remove battery leads.. paid them £25 happy days.

AKA a BSI reset. Easy enough to do and can solve all manner of Peugeot-isms.

I've had all sorts over the years. The climate control in my 406 stopped working properly, BSI reset.
Both my 407s had mental electric windows, BSI reset.
And my RCZ decided to show the mileage in kilometers one day, BSI reset.

Modern Peugeots are very picky with batteries, if you do start getting spurious bleeps and lights and have an old battery just swap it for a new one.

Hi,

does this work for RCZ's ?

I'd like to swap my old RCZ for a new RCZ, will that be OK? my old ones getting quite high on the miles now.

PS. you finished with that diagnostic tool yet, you know the PSA group one with the diagbox thingy....
since you've got yersen a GT you might want to part with it?

Hi,
I've got the exact same problem. Just confirm you disconnected the battery for 20 mins? Did you need to put the radio code back in again once the battery was connected????

thanks

You could do a BSI reset instead of disconnecting the battery For 20 minutes.

Put the driver’s window down, lift the bonnet and ensure all
equipment is switched off.
Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the
ignition.
Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait
15 seconds.
Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further 10 seconds (do
not open doors.)
Switch on the side lights through the driver's window.
Switch on the ignition and check system’s functionality.
Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds.
remove key open & close door test central locking system
Start the engine and complete the system’s check.
Failure to follow this procedure could result in incorrect operation of many
BSI related items.

Found this old post which may help anyone who gets the engine fault repair needed icon,
I think it’s interesting as the solution came from Peugeot assist5D603C6B-210C-4677-A693-EA892C34D461.jpeg
