Wrong end of stick jactac. You was away sunning yourself. Mark bought one of Marcus's demo's. Hence my jocular comment. But I get no drips at all from my mirrors after washing the car. Previously I was constantly returning to dry off the drips for fear of the stain they may leave if I left the runs. :thumbup:jactac said:Ron,
i bought mine from Marcus just 4 months ago, would you class that as an "older version cast off " ?
I dont think Marcus would, at least i hope not anyway.
As yet i cant find any water marks and believe me i'm constantly checking.
Yes water does run down the door after the car has been washed, which is very very often, but there are no signs of the dreaded staining, and the water dries out after a short while and some drying off with a micro fibre cloth.
Are you say here that you get no runs of water after washing what so ever from your mirrors. ?
Sorry M8.jactac said:Sorry,
thats me all over just jumping in. Council estate upbringing
Any idea when, if any mod was done to the mirrors ?
Wow. You are one of the lucky few. At least you have a decent peugeot dealership on your doorstep, All marques of cars have their problems and some cars have more than others, but you have a fantastic car. The engine noise will be sorted as will the wheels. The door mirror thing has been resolved and we are just waiting for the modified one to arrive in the UK. But none of this can stop your enjoyment of your beautiful car :thumbup:Rczmk said:Great just another problem I'm going to have along with the dodgy noises from the air intake and the hose collapsing also blemishes under the laquer of the wheels starting to think buying this motor wasn't worth the 20k and the 5 yrs of debt!!

Marcus.
These modified mirror parts, will they be fitted to ALL RCZ's or just ones that are showing a fault presently ?
Basicaly is this issue going to classed as a recall.
It's difficult to tell on Opal white but i think we might be starting to see some residue staining on our car.
I'm not too sure what to look for because this stuff that i can see wipes off so it could just be your every day water marks .
Also after reading some other threads on this issue it seems as though very new cars have had this fix done at the manufacturing stage, so what sort of time scale would this include and would you know from my vin number if my car has had the fix or not.
thanks in advance
RCZGT200 said:Hi rczmk,
As I have already said I have got a new HDI arrived on Thursday afternoon specifically so the workshop can do a back to back comparison for start up noise with your car.
There is a solution coming from Peugeot for the door mirrors...as the modified parts are not in the UK yet Peugeot havent given the details to dealers yet but I will make sure that you know as soon as we do.
I will get the service team to look at the alloys...it wasnt on the job card to be looked at when the car was last in.
best regards
Marcus

The latest condition door mirrors are not yet in stock. The month of August is typically when our factories and component suppliers shut down as is the case with the Magna Steyr factory where the RCZ is built. Once the parts are available we will inform the Dealer Network and at the same time ensure that this is posted on the Forum. To reconfirm, we will replace the door mirrors under warranty, if you have been experiencing the described issues. Thank you again for your patience.
