London Riots - what damage?

I believe from what you say jactac that you have the old style mirrors fitted. My understanding is that the old design allowed water ingress and this then dribbled out. On some cars were the inner cases of the mirror had corroded then this left a milky residue but yours like my original model we just get the dribbling water. I kept returning and drying it up to avoid leaving any water stains. So be patient it ain't too important. Peugeot are on the case and it'll get sorted

Hi 0058Ron & Jactac,

When FGRob visited the factory in very early May this year they were already fitting the updated design on the production line and had been for sometime.

Jactacs car was built in mid/late April and doesnt have the problem so I would believe it has the update.

There is no physical difference in the external design of the mirrors.

Thanks Marcus,
I'm not concerned as yet because i cant see anything that looks out of the ordinary.
I will keep an eye on things though.
When these new parts arrive will they be fitted to all exsisting mirrors or just the ones that are showing a fault.

In my opinion i think i would rather leave well alone and only act if a problem arises, i dont think i would want the door card and all it's organs removed if there wasnt anything wrong. :eusa-think:

Yeah Ron i know of this milky thing but to be honest i cant see it, i think i'm just being over cautious and confusing it with everyday water runs from rain ect.

Peugeot will replace on cars displaying the problem not wholesale.
