Just installed a K&N panel filter into my 200GT yesterday :thumbup: - not really driven it yet to notice much difference, I'm not expecting anything major but I wanted to get it done before I take it to Superchips to be tuned. I've fitted K&N filters to all my 'performance' cars in the past and while they don't make a huge difference on their own, I think they're worth the relatively modest outlay, especially if you plan on doing any engine tuning... (and at least the panel filter variety is getting a decent cold air feed)
If you are going to fit one, I can recommend a Torx bit set or Torx allen key set and a magnetic probe (for WHEN you drop a screw down the back of the engine). I used my Allen key set bit I also have one of these somewhere and it is VERY useful for hard to reach areas with limited access for normal socket sets:

A performance filter is always preferable to the cheap OEM ones. I'll be interested to hear how you get on post tuning. I assume that you're going to get it mapped rather than one of their bluefin box hoojits?

Yup, going down the map route I think... read up a little on bluefin and there are some reports of issues. I'm more comfortable going down the mapping route than the black box in this case too, especially as Superchips has a decent reputation... I'm not after massive gains, but some more torque and 230BHP for £360 is a fair deal I think... I've also noticed that there's 10% off if done @ Buckingham HQ (thanks to RCZperformance) :thumbup:

Yeah, getting a proper remap is always preferable to be honest. RCZperformance has always been pleased with the results that he's had. Might be worth checking if they recommend any other modifications to get the most benefit from the remap.

Yep we cannot agree more in using Superchips for a remap. They have a good reputation and experience with the RCZ. Keep us posted on your progress.
