Just like to say... I LOVE MY RCZ
Been saving for a good HDi Gt, ideally in silver, or my dream colour, Moroccan Red, for 2.5yrs with no car for that period to help with monies.
Finally found my dream car in January this year. Bought it with generous direct deposit to the Dealer within hrs of ad release, sight unseen.
On arrival, the Dealer (one man set -up with half a dozen uninspiring cars in a lock up) inspired confidence in him being a decent straight talking chap.
He then took us in to see the car.......Wowww.....I had a similar feeling to when I finally found my perfect 4.3 Griff back in 95 (again after several yrs of saving and looking)....a warm smile grew across my face...both cars, for me are perfect
- He had had the car professionally prepared....in gleaming Moroccan Red under the floodlights, ...she looked brand new
Inside the Napa leather is like new, as are carpets, Dash etc (despite 80k miles) - Under the bonnet and in the boot? - As new (+ 1 yr in engine bay, with occasional nut discolouring)
He told me he had 4 other potential buyers waiting on my First Deposit decision - I was completely and utterly in love already
So, just a bit of a Thank you / note of appreciation for finally becoming the custodian of such a beautiful car, inside and out
Journos had slated interior as being average / too typical saloon - I disagree, in full Napa leather guise, the interior is anything but - reminds me of Lotus Esprit and 308 (The Red one, not Pug!) - relaxing back for a motorway cruise at night, she feels special..
As for exterior, I cant stop ogling....one of the prettiest affordable cars out there.
I have to keep on the drive, so all my cleaning work is reversed every other day by the weather. If I had room in the garage and spent time detailing, she would run the risk of becoming another garage queen, the way the Griff has (although there are lots of heavy other reasons for being laid up for 18 yrs...- mostly recommissioned now, hoping to be back on the road this year, and I intend to be less 'precious' with her and enjoy her out on the roads, hopefully Wales etc)
I am 'gobsmacked' as to why these 2 cars 'fly under the radar' still - £15k buys one of each! - Is there a prettier pair of affordable sportscars?!
Come on guys and gals (my sister has a 200 Gt) tell me how u Really feel about these cars, particularly the styling, inside and out
