Just like to say... I LOVE MY RCZ :)

Been saving for a good HDi Gt, ideally in silver, or my dream colour, Moroccan Red, for 2.5yrs with no car for that period to help with monies.

Finally found my dream car in January this year. Bought it with generous direct deposit to the Dealer within hrs of ad release, sight unseen.

On arrival, the Dealer (one man set -up with half a dozen uninspiring cars in a lock up) inspired confidence in him being a decent straight talking chap.

He then took us in to see the car.......Wowww.....I had a similar feeling to when I finally found my perfect 4.3 Griff back in 95 (again after several yrs of saving and looking)....a warm smile grew across my face...both cars, for me are perfect :) - He had had the car professionally prepared....in gleaming Moroccan Red under the floodlights, ...she looked brand new :)

Inside the Napa leather is like new, as are carpets, Dash etc (despite 80k miles) - Under the bonnet and in the boot? - As new (+ 1 yr in engine bay, with occasional nut discolouring)

He told me he had 4 other potential buyers waiting on my First Deposit decision - I was completely and utterly in love already :)

So, just a bit of a Thank you / note of appreciation for finally becoming the custodian of such a beautiful car, inside and out :)

Journos had slated interior as being average / too typical saloon - I disagree, in full Napa leather guise, the interior is anything but - reminds me of Lotus Esprit and 308 (The Red one, not Pug!) - relaxing back for a motorway cruise at night, she feels special..

As for exterior, I cant stop ogling....one of the prettiest affordable cars out there.

I have to keep on the drive, so all my cleaning work is reversed every other day by the weather. If I had room in the garage and spent time detailing, she would run the risk of becoming another garage queen, the way the Griff has (although there are lots of heavy other reasons for being laid up for 18 yrs...- mostly recommissioned now, hoping to be back on the road this year, and I intend to be less 'precious' with her and enjoy her out on the roads, hopefully Wales etc)

I am 'gobsmacked' as to why these 2 cars 'fly under the radar' still - £15k buys one of each! - Is there a prettier pair of affordable sportscars?!

Come on guys and gals (my sister has a 200 Gt) tell me how u Really feel about these cars, particularly the styling, inside and out

I’m not sure about car hacks criticism ls when it came out. The fact honk and here will have been some “its a Peugeot” so they have to nitpick. It was a fairly cheap sporty car with mad looks. You’re jumping up a class really if you are comparing to some other stuff. They are all a good drive. There was not a lot of criticisms there. Some moaned about the engine range. Fair enough until the R appeared anyway. They are a hell of a lot better to Chuck about than most German stuff in that sort of price range. And they look so much nicer. But merit is good. They’ve stood up well in n terms of wear and tear. Everything is pretty much where you want it/need it. Driving position is fine. Im 6’4” and seem to cope. I can heel toe in it. Gear change is quick in the 200 at least. I’m scratching my head to think what else you’ll get that looks that good. And goes that well for the wedge. Nothing as far as I can see. Maybe a semi gubbed older Audi TT? And I absolutely despise nose heavy Audi overpriced VW stuff.

I’ll be keeping this thing on the road for as long as I possibly can. It’s an absolute joy to drive. And it’s not been problematic at all. If it gets that way it’s getting fixed regardless.

I hope you enjoy yours immensely

I’ve got a white R here in Oz. I love it. I’ve owned it since 2020. I have no intention of selling it. Inside and out, it’s amazing.

Glad I am not the only one who truly appreciates the artistic beauty and quality of these affordable cars - would love to try an R on smooth roads - UK roads are not much better than cart tracks and I wince every few seconds as yet another 15 cm deep hidden pothole shakes my car as if hit by a mortar....

Yes, I would LOVE a sonorous V6 option with flappy paddles (arthritic hips) - tuned Busso 3.2 with ITBs would do nicely :) - Oh, and a set up that can fend off the UK cart track insane potholes...

The ITB V6 would elevate the RC into Dino territory..... If such a conversion could b done for under 4k I would do it :)

I have my 1.6 156 and am absolutely chuffed with how it drives, handling and performance. Car has a couple of tiny mods to improve it, cloth seats out and leather electric in. Slight mechanical mods to engine to reduce lag but visually kept stock (not a fan of those silly red/blue silicone air hoses or cone filters). Only thing I wish it had is the convertible option that was in the original concept designs. Much prefer its drive to the likes of the audi offering. Also from a maintenance point of view, I find it a very straightforward car to work on, with so many cross over parts to other models in the Pug (and others) range. Genuinely can’t understand why so many turn their nose up at them.

Well what can I say but the wow factor is what get us RCZers as the lines and curves does it for me and as Pedro said it's Not French it's built in the Austria the same factory as jaguar and other top of the range cars. Only 105 car's made per shift well built and can beat many snobby out there... But as my collection they look great lined up together.
