Sold mine at the price asked, buyer did not haggle, buyers/collectors are willing to travel and pay for a decent example, I was not going to go lower it would of stayed in my possession.
I got back exactly what I paid in 2019.(shame I didn't sell when they were circa £19K in 2021 etc!) Obviously there are the twats/vultures that offered £9-11K thinking I needed to sell or have a crack habit to feed, a lot of the low ballers came as the classified advert was ending from the Trade; obviously I just ignored them,
As stated before WBAC and such like and their prices are meaningless in the emerging/classic car market I would go as far to say their prices are actually just meaningless for a decent example of the R. I personally would not go near the Trade to buy or sell a car just isn't worth it. Ebay was a good platform to use as it cut down the idiots, criminals/scammers etc wasting my time. A high mileage daily used R is a different purchase/sale proposition to a low mileage Garage Queen. We've had a string of numpties on here over the year's saying the R is not worth the money asked, that mileage is not an important issue in pricing etc......all cobblers.
Sold my GSXR1000 K5 too, being picked up tomorrow, sold it for double the price We Buy Any Bike were quoting me....again meaningless prices in an attempt to destroy/disrupt the private used car/bike market and capitalise on their profits at auction or selling on to the Trade....or push people to borrowing their car on PCP.
That said the private used market is slow; words of encouragement from Claret63 kept me positive of a decent sale. Cheers mate.
I liked the R and mine was nigh on mint, bit heavy hearted as I heard it drive off but also looking for something to replace it with (which I said I would not do!)
Anyone want a brand new set of discs
