Right today was G3 Liquid glasscoat day , number 1 paint protection for 3 years running now. This is a ceramic coating and unlike every other wax or polymer coating like supergard/diamond bright etc etc ,things like TFR and other mild solvents won't fetch it off. No more waxing for me ;0) .
DOWNSIDE ........ This stuff locks in whatever condition your paintwork is in ..... So ....... Unless its a brand new car or very very very well looked after (you know who u are obi1) it means a machine polish is required ....... Bummer ( hard work/time/finesse and mess ) as obiRCZ1 will confirm.
UPSIDE ......... I employ the best in the business ..... So I'll just go and stick the kettle on and make him a drink while he works his magic over the next 7 hours ;0)

Got a couple of hours free this afternoon , it was either wash the car knowing it would rain later (which it did) or wrap the roof rails matte black (good call) ........ Let's do it

I don't know about that wrap... Atleast it wasn't completely black. It's on the verge of being "too black" if you darken anything else. It needs some contrasting color/chrome to really stand out.

I know what u mean Tomas , exactly why I did the matte black , I've got a plan for the front grille to create some contrast also , I've purposely not tinted too dark and also not had black wheels , I'm only really bothered about the overall effect on a sunny day as most of us are (pose days) lol
And it's hard to see on pics but I had the wheels done in a sort of chrome gunmetal because when the suns on them the metal flake in the paint really lightens them up .... Here's a pic so u can see hopefully. And cheers for your input , I don't wanna be batman just yet lol

Lainey, did you put the film on the small side windows?

If you have, is there a small gap between the edge of the film and the black surround of the glass?

No Catherine I only tinted the doors , the sides are standard :mrgreen:

Just a little mod today , gloss black wrap two pieces of the interior trim. To tide me over until my ruffer sideskirts / lowered suspension and new gearnob arrive thanks to the top man Steven at RCZ performance. I'll be putting on the sideskirts first so anyone wondering if it makes the car look lower without lowering will get a good idea as I don't think there are any cars with them on not lowered...... Including mine because straight after them piccies it's getting slammed lol
