Well I've had Arsey Ted for a week now and I must say I have been pleasantly surprised by it and could grow to like it. There are a few annoying bits on it though....
The good ...
1. Cabin is really nice
2. Very quiet, although road noise is quite intrusive (I would rather hear the engine!)
3. Comfortable!
4. Not too bad on fuel at 36-39mpg over my 110 mile round trip to work
The bad....
1. The gap between the clutch peddle and the foot rest is too small for my feet and it catches
2. Visibility isn't too good
3. No rear wiper, but can understand why!
4. Can't see the top gauges with the steering wheel in a comfortable position for me (not unusual for me TBH!)
The Ugly
1. I bang my ***ing head on the roof every time I get in the damn thing!
2. Less rear legroom than my XJRS had
3. Much less of a sports car than I hoped, more a middle age cruiser (wife is complaining its too slow!)
and....I dont know how to classify this...
1. I have been ribbed mercilessly by my friends for buying it :-(
2. I have been asked by the landlady of my pub if she can get a good rate on her hair cuts from me :-(
(what you need to know is that I bought the wife an MX5 as well which I also drive myself occasionally, so I ask for trouble really lol)
3. My 14 year old lad wont go in it with me
(again not really an issue, he can get the bus the cheeky sod!)
Its a bit slower than the cars we have had before, but I don't suppose that's a bad thing and like I say, its not really a sports car and wasnt bought to be one! Its just a bit of a slouch in the mid range and has caught me out a few times but I hope this will improve endlessly once the DPF is off and the car is mapped which will happen week after next as I've not got time until then.
All in all, I do quite like it so far
