The Ugly
3. Much less of a sports car than I hoped, more a middle age cruiser (wife is complaining its too slow!)

You should have bought the THP200. It has 40 HP less than my current A5 and still gives it a very hard time.

1. I have been ribbed mercilessly by my friends for buying it :-(

Same here, until I had a test car for a day and invited them to a proper test drive.
Almost all said "wow" about the interior, and all(!) "WOW" about what you can do with it on a winding road!

3. My 14 year old lad wont go in it with me

Same here, but that's definitely NOT a problem for me :D

Thanks for all taking my posts in the humorous way they were meant, I do in fact like the car.

I've just driven it up to Croydon from deepest Devern along the A303 etc and the car actually drives really well, even with the standard power (although it will be changed!!). The one thing I did find was that my legs started to ache on the outsides from the seat base sides. Being a man of reasonable size, I cant drive with my legs closed for that long - it hurts!

Ref the comments on the glass clearing stuff, thanks I will try them, I've know about them for a long time, just thought they were a bit of a gimmick.

I have the seat as low as it will go, I just need to duck more rather than fall into it! I am used to climbing up into my Range Rover so a different approach will be found ;)

There aren't many around of these, I've seen three now since picking it up - I am an old Alfisti as well as Abarth owner (and MX5 to a degree) where we give a nod as we pass, does this happen with Arsey Teds before I make a t1t of myself and people report me for being a menace to society?!

Re:banging your bonce - your comment explains everything - my husband has a Disco 4 so like you, is used to climbing up into a car rather than bending down ;)

Varies from driver to driver but I like to acknowledge a fellow Z driver. Some respond enthusiastically others totally ignore you (tends to be women).
