I especially like the praise on not injuring a small child, but I'd like to add cute puppies and white rhinos (cos they're like endangered!)
Sorry you've had a trying few days RCZ1 and you're right, the less fuss you make and the more you actually handle the stresses of life the less consideration you get. I was crossing my fingers for the end of your story to say the owner of the Ka was the leaking co-worker![]()

I'm going to apologise to the colleague concerned too. Life's too short for fallouts.
I'd love to hear you explain that to the insurance ..... surely what you meant is that you didn't bother looking 'cos nothing should have been parked there  I'm no way having a dig, we've probably all done this sometime. Lets be thankful it was a car and not a child :eusa-think:RCZ1 said:the reason I didn't really see the car was because the Ford Ka should not have been there in the first place, as it was parked on double yellow lines
RCZ1 said:Looked all over the woman's car, who was present, and who was very, very nice....We exchanged details but she insisted that I wouldn't be hearing from her.

Thanks Donna, yes that's exactly right - I didn't bother looking for it, because it shouldn't have been there. But I'll be damn sure to do it everytime from now on.
I've now apologised to my colleague, who was very gratious.
ksb said:I'm curious, did you apologise out of self preservation or because you felt sorry for him?
It'd be terrible in my eyes if turning on the water works resulted in an automatic apology, and you don't strike me as someone who says things you don't ultimately mean to say.
