My usage of 'with' was in the informal sense.

RON, what is the crest you use as an avatar?

I'm with gorwell here, but it's clearly your Mum's fault, had she not needed a lift then you would have reversed, etc ;)

I especially like the praise on not injuring a small child, but I'd like to add cute puppies and white rhinos (cos they're like endangered!) ;)

Sorry you've had a trying few days RCZ1 and you're right, the less fuss you make and the more you actually handle the stresses of life the less consideration you get. I was crossing my fingers for the end of your story to say the owner of the Ka was the leaking co-worker :)

Lol :) Thanks ksb :)

 Ace remarks KSB!

This is all getting a little philosophical akin to the question in The Chautauquan, "If a tree were to fall on an island where there were no human beings would there be any sound?" End of the day, it happened, it's been dealt with, no one was injured (adult, child, endangered or fluffy), damage to the RCZ has been rectified. Now let's

(it's not a direct offer...my wife would kill me!!)

Today is a new day, which is going to be much better :)

I'm going to apologise to the colleague concerned too. Life's too short for fallouts.

Oh no, nightmare! But at least the damage isn't very significant and easy to repair.

I did chuckle at a few bits though ....

the reason I didn't really see the car was because the Ford Ka should not have been there in the first place, as it was parked on double yellow lines
I'd love to hear you explain that to the insurance ..... surely what you meant is that you didn't bother looking 'cos nothing should have been parked there  I'm no way having a dig, we've probably all done this sometime. Lets be thankful it was a car and not a child :eusa-think:

Looked all over the woman's car, who was present, and who was very, very nice....We exchanged details but she insisted that I wouldn't be hearing from her.

She's being "very very nice" because she's well aware she was parked on double yellows!! Indeed a motoring offence, you could have called the bobbies - although they couldn' tbe interested if no-ones hurt (and I don't just mean pride)

I hope you have a better day today ... don't go upsetting any feeble men!

My thoughts exactly - they are in a different universe :D

Thanks Donna, yes that's exactly right - I didn't bother looking for it, because it shouldn't have been there. But I'll be damn sure to do it everytime from now on.

I've now apologised to my colleague, who was very gratious.

Don't be a hater Donna. I didn't pose the question. I merely repeated it...and utilised it in an appropriate context....knowledgeably.

I'm curious, did you apologise out of self preservation or because you felt sorry for him?

It'd be terrible in my eyes if turning on the water works resulted in an automatic apology, and you don't strike me as someone who says things you don't ultimately mean to say.

I didn't apologise for what I said, I apologised for the way that I may have said it.
I am really a very soft touch especially when people turn on the wate works. I'm a big softie and seeing people cry normally sets me off :)

Apologise to that wus. He would be far to low down in my estimation that any apology would have needed a megaphone. As i wouldn't have one to hand, I wouldn't bother. The big girls blouse. He needs to grow up or mature and perhaps both.

He was "man enough" not to take your team mates call, then he should be man enough to accept the consequences and not run off crying in the lav!!!!!!!!
