If u use C1 don't forget to bin any of the microfibers u've used to spread or buff it of with. Seemingly it's crystallise's in the cloths and will scratch the paint if u wash and try to reuse em. So if u've old ones use them

I've still got one of the little pads that you apply it with and it's now rock hard from the crystallisation. Shows that it's really protecting our paintwork - making it more scratch resistant :)

Just applied my C1 today. I've exceeded my maximum allowed time also, so this exercise won't be repeated! Hope it lasts. Will be applying theC1.5 tomorrow.

yeah, it's shiny shiny... But that Autoglym super resin polish has to take the credit! Also applied IPA before doing the C1. As for claying... I have to confess I only did the front lower bumper... Made an improvement, but I think I have motorway scars which won't come out. Still looks great and is the best looking car on the street (so I've been told my many - and I agree!)

It looks good :)

You will be repaid for the effort you have put in. C1 is great and even better for the shine when you get the C1.5 on.

I'm hoping to get mine done next weekend. It's a year since it had a full detail, when I applied Wolf's Body Wrap - which is another great product. The beading is lacking though, not like C1.

Which clay bar and lube did you use?
I've never had any trouble with claying but then I do use an excess of lube.

Autogylm clay and detailer. Definitely is smoother, but I can still feel roughness in places. I didn't apply much pressure, as I didn't want to make any paint damage. Still looks good from the eye. I'm happy enough with the end result, but I think a professional detailer would probably have spend many more hours than I am willing to. This morning the car was shining so glossy, it's unbelievable, I will wait until late this afternoon to apply the C1.5 when the car is I'm the shade and cooler.

I've not used the Autoglym clay bar but you did right not applying pressure. The clay just sits in the folds of your fingers and just run it back and forth. A clay makes a big difference to the shine of a car without even putting a polish on it. :)

Just had a thought. I have a new leather sofa on order and on the way. Would the Gtechniq leather guard be suitable for using on an interior leather on a sofa?

I read that people who kept their microfiber cloths after applying C1, that they were rock hard. So if you want to sit on stone slabs, should do the trick!

Yes it would be fine.

It's not the same as their Exterior coatings so you won't have a hard bot :)

1st wash today after the C1 treatment last week. In fact car has been very clean and not much dirt, even considering I have driven over 300 miles in the week. Rain during the week has been washing all the dirt off for me! Only the front wheels bear the signs - they are covered in brake dust, and I've never treated the wheels with a sealer yet. Anyways, was the quickest was ever. Quick pressure, snow foam and 2 bucket followed by rinse and dry and quick interior hoover. All done in an hour. I am impressed with that C1. How long can I expect a coat to last? Also, how often should I top up with the C1.5 sealer spray (I'm thing once a month?)

Can you tell me how you manage to PW, snow foam, wash, rinse, dry and do the interior in an hour? I've done OH's car today - same process except the interior and it took me 3 hours !

Anyway, in answer to your questions, C1 should last at least 2 years. You'll notice a drop off in beading on the car after about 2 months. This is the time to top up with C1.5. So every 2 months or so with C1.5 will keep your RCZ sheeting, beading and protected for some time to come.

You can use C1 on your alloys to seal them too, if you want, which will protect them for at least a year. C1.5 can also be used for quickness on them too but will last 3 months at least.

I didn't get chance to get mine done this weekend with C1 due to the weather. Hopefully next weekend will be better :)

Cheers RCZ1. Yes my quickest clean ever! No mucking about. I have my routine set now, but was only this quick because I didn't need to do any polishing. Also the interior was a really quick hoover and wipe over leather.. Nothing too drastic, but car is gleaming. I just need to seal the wheels one weekend. Then I will break my cleaning record again. I've had some Autoglym wheel sealer spray in thecupboard for ages, but have never given it ago. I haven't had any problems cleaning the wheels with soap/water, hence never used it.

The V7 will be adding its own protection as it is a sealant in its own right. You don't need to add anything over the C1.5. Just top it up every 2 months or so.
