Woweee, you've gone red!!!

I'm not surprised you got a decent price for Pearl, she is a stunner! Didn't you think about trying a private sale? I'm sure one of us lot would have bitten your arm off! I hope the next owner keeps her in the condition in which she's becme accustomed! If I were you, I'd write a wee note and slip it in the logbook somewhere - detailing all you've used on her :)

Personally I'd love to see the Bisto (erm I mean Bistre) brown, I think it'll be stunning in the sun :)

Thanks Donna ;)

My husband would like to see the Bistre too. Not sure it would be for me

though but I shall reserve judgement until I see one in the flesh :)

That's actually a very good idea about the detailing side of things. I could add it to the receipts and everything else I have. Hopefully, the dealer won't take it out.

I did think about selling privately but having never sold one before I just didn't want to be left with an unsold car when the new one arrived. I'm sure it would have sold reasonably quickly but you can never be too sure. If the deal had not have been right then I would have taken the plunge and sold privately but in the end, I didn't need too.

Can't wait to get my hands on her now though ;)

I contemplated trading mine in until they offered me £14500. I too was concerned about getting stuck with 2 cars but then came to he decision to try selling it privately if I could then if I had to I would let it go privately for the £14500 and give someone a great bargain rather than let the dealership make another few grand out of me.

So I put t up or £17250 then took £16800 from the first person who viewed it. £2300 in my pocket.

Awwww man!!! The labour may be cheap but it also appears to be ineffective! Hopefully this is the last hiccup and they provide the correct documentation for export...numptys.

The retrimmer is well peeved, I can tell you. He says they have been having a few problems recently with the outfit in China and he is looking to change things around a bit. It not only impacts on his business but their good name, not to mention the extra costs he has had to incur, due to their errors.

Fingers are firmly crossed that this is the last hiccup :)

Thanks Jassy

Well fingers crossed I don't have any stone chips "yet" but I have to agree about metallic red. Just had 2 solid reds cars previously but metallic is absolutely stunning. I love it. Bet you guessed that already :)

:lol::lol: No, I'll let you off. I'm not a fan of unnecessary punishments (unless they're a particularly annoying child). We learn from our mistakes after all!!

I am really enjoying the blog and hope you're enjoying writing it!

An interesting read. I'm down to 27.1mpg at the moment! :(

You seriously need to get yours looked at Mr Rizz. I can't understand how yours is so low.
How many miles do you travel to and from work and what kind of speeds do you get up to?
