An interesting read. I'm down to 27.1mpg at the moment! :(

You seriously need to get yours looked at Mr Rizz. I can't understand how yours is so low.
How many miles do you travel to and from work and what kind of speeds do you get up to?

Yeah it's pretty nuts to be honest. I probably do around 20 miles a day Monday to Friday and can hit speeds of up to 50mph on the return leg. Never really get stuck in heavy traffic for long either. It also usually gets its legs stretched at a weekend or the occasional weekday evening. It's puzzling!

Got a stagger this weekend so have 250 miles of motorway driving this weekend. Sadly it'll only increase my mpg in the very short term.

I found on Pearl, when you filled up and you immediately did a longish journey or got your speed up to around 50mph, this gave a very good mpg. Middle 40s or higher. This then lowered slightly during the week with the commute but hovered around the 40mpg mark. If, however, you filled up, then only did short journeys or town driving, the mpg was about 35mpg rising only slightly when it came to longer runs.

So the moral of the story is, go on a long drive when you've fuelled up and your mpg will shoot up :)

I never even see close to 35mpg for any length of time...even after a significant drive. It just falls and falls...:(

Sorry Riz, this was my last tank of super unleaded in my 200. I commute 65 miles a day into east London so do stop start driving, town driving and motorway speeds.

Sorry Young lady for the hijack

I thought summer was the last bank holiday weekend?

My daily commute is 20 miles or so, the two miles is very much stop start traffic and during that I average around 38mpg.

Granted I have a 156, but still...

Ok guys and gals. I was waiting to upload the details on my blog but that is coming a little later.

So eventually, I've now had my interior retrimmed in lovely Nappa leather. I love it. Hope you do too !

The red looks brighter in the photos as red tends to show as pink so I darkened the pics a little to try and get the full effect.
