Great call on the extended cuts Alien 3 and Abyss, Jassy

I find it impossible to come up with lists. Partly because of my pi$$ poor memory where names of films goes (not to mention things/objects/people/book titles etc etc etc!) And partly because it very much depends what mood I'm in.

But I'm loving this thread, quality idea Rizz!

Totally down with The Usual Suspects. It's in the shortlist that I'm trying to narrow down from. It's just so blooming tricky though because as soon as I exclude one another replaces it!! Also toying with another Spacey flick, 'American Beauty'. An astonishing film and one that I found genuinely affecting!

 I suspect that wouldn't make anyone's list...ever...even if they'd only seen five films.

Anyone seen Rush yet? Believe it plays up to the clichés about their lives/lifestyles (particularly James Hunt's) but really want to see it!

I'm not convinced about Filth. I didn't really enjoy the book but I shall reserve judgement until I've seen it.

Went to see 'Rush' last night, the story of James Hunt and Niki Lauder's 1976 end of season battle - or rather the 6 years running up to it!!
If you're a petrol head then you'll live the cars and the noise but other than that, actually the recent BBC 4 documentary was much better.
Pit lane scenarios in the film look cheap and the sets are unconvincing. If you're being really nerdy you can spot that when they're supposed to be on the Paul Ricard circuit for Lauders first test with BRM, they're actually on a mix of Cadwell Park and Mallory Park, with some poorly comp'd in background buildings.
It's also over 2hrs long!! They could have cut 15mins out of it without effecting the real storyline.
All a bit of a shame really and I wish I'd waited till it came out on DVD as I suspect you won't loose anything in translation.
6/10

This is the kinda a film i usually leave for blu ray rental...Ron Howard not a director for using 2nd rate CGI but i will take your word for Bobby  I have just got back from Egypt     and have rented BLU RAY versions of "Fast & Furious 6"  ,and "Dead Man Down with Colin Farrell..not my favourite actor as he left all "Miami Vice" fans down badly in my opinion for his role as "Sonny Crocket" in this film, but he is getting better as he gets older...so i will report back on this film  As for Fast & Furious 6, l dont think that needs a Review... Just a popcorn movie but should look and sound AMAZIN just like it did in the cinema

Its 7/10 FROM Jassy Why :eusa-think: As it kept me going to till the end.

1.Good plot.

I rather enjoyed it too but would say that In Bruges is my favourite of his films still. I did think Terence Howard was pretty good in it too. I'd concur with your review and score.

Not normally a Farrell fan but loved In Bruges and actually think his best film was Phone Booth.

Ok so I went to see 'Rush' today and, I guess this is where subjectivity comes into play, loved it. I thought the performances of Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl were believable and first rate. I also thought the CGI was top notch. The soundtrack of the cars was unbelievable and the way its shot places you in the thick of the action during race sequences.

Ok...so they deemed to rush (no pun intended) towards the conclusion of the season and yes they did play up the stereotypes significantly but I still really enjoyed it. I can't comment on the accuracy of the tracks because I am not that as big a fan as you clearly are Btd.

I'd give it a solid 8/10.

Btd - that BBC4 documentary was spot on. Well worth checking out by anyone whether you're a racing fan or not.
