I haven’t got that in my car. There is turbo lag as you’ll probably have in any turbo car but it’s not bad. Throttle response is good in mine. It’s always been good so maybe something amiss in yours? Or you’ve been used to some other car? Hard to know without driving yours.Do they fix the horrible apparent Drop in power before more power is delivered - dont think its the turbo lag
Hi, mine seems to respond better to a mid throttle re-application of power than flooring it - that seems to drop power slightly then apply at a lower thrust than a mid throttle!I haven’t got that in my car. I’ve got the TFB Diverter valve in mine which definitely holds boost far better than the stock item. And it also cured the intermittent “sticking”. Which a new stock one would have done regardless. But the difference in n acceleration through the gears is noticeable (at first) compared to stock. I’ve got the pug1off lightened crank pulley on mine as well which sharpened things up a bit as well. None of these are huge performance gains but they’ve made an already good driving car a little bit better.
It won’t be the Diverter valve then as it must be holding boost ok.Hi, mine seems to respond better to a mid throttle re-application of power than flooring it - that seems to drop power slightly then apply at a lower thrust than a mid throttle!
Re Pug1, they never responded to my detailed inquiry suggesting there may be a number of UK RCZ owners who would b interested in a suspension set up better suited to masking the three trillion potholes the government have inflicted on us - even offered my car for development...
"quite stiff" ..hmmmm had race inspired limited run Porsche Turbo with Far greater comfort! That sat 3" from the deck and had zero roll and pitch during enthusiastic road use. 10" rims with stretched 245 45s tooIt won’t be the Diverter valve then as it must be holding boost ok.
pug1off will probably not develop all that much for these cars as there just such a limited customer base. And not everyone is looking to upgrade them anyway. You’ll probably just have to dig around for whatever suspension set up you think will work for you. They are quite stiff cars no matter what you do. Body roll is quite minimal etc and they are running on big wheels with minimal rubber so it’s never going to be a built for comfort type of car.
