I haven’t got that in my car. There is turbo lag as you’ll probably have in any turbo car but it’s not bad. Throttle response is good in mine. It’s always been good so maybe something amiss in yours? Or you’ve been used to some other car? Hard to know without driving yours.
I’ve got the TFB Diverter valve in mine which definitely holds boost far better than the stock item. And it also cured the intermittent “sticking”. Which a new stock one would have done regardless. But the difference in n acceleration through the gears is noticeable (at first) compared to stock. I’ve got the pug1off lightened crank pulley on mine as well which sharpened things up a bit as well. None of these are huge performance gains but they’ve made an already good driving car a little bit better.

Hi, mine seems to respond better to a mid throttle re-application of power than flooring it - that seems to drop power slightly then apply at a lower thrust than a mid throttle!

Re Pug1, they never responded to my detailed inquiry suggesting there may be a number of UK RCZ owners who would b interested in a suspension set up better suited to masking the three trillion potholes the government have inflicted on us - even offered my car for development...

It won’t be the Diverter valve then as it must be holding boost ok.

pug1off will probably not develop all that much for these cars as there just such a limited customer base. And not everyone is looking to upgrade them anyway. You’ll probably just have to dig around for whatever suspension set up you think will work for you. They are quite stiff cars no matter what you do. Body roll is quite minimal etc and they are running on big wheels with minimal rubber so it’s never going to be a built for comfort type of car.

"quite stiff" ..hmmmm had race inspired limited run Porsche Turbo with Far greater comfort! That sat 3" from the deck and had zero roll and pitch during enthusiastic road use. 10" rims with stretched 245 45s too

Great stuff. I had an integrale and it actually rolled more than the RCZ does. It’s still quite a stiff set up regardless on these.

never really had any issues comfort wise either and I’m six four. These are cheap cars regardless. They do most things pretty well for the price of them.

..dont get me wrong...I am besotted by my Moroccan Red Gt....when polished, I cant take my eyes off - love the interior styling and quality too - unfortunately the hyper stiff HDi suspension makes every back road drive a real challenge

Those are the roads I daily mine on. 25miles each way and B road for most of it. Fast B road. It’s also a good surface which is rare these days. I absolutely look forward to the drive and it’s where the car is definitely happiest. On a bad surface though it’s genuinely not fun. Town driving is not pleasant at all due to the surfaces and how the suspension set up works. But on the right roads it’s glorious and you can really make progress on the twistiest back roads. I’m 15minutes faster to work and back doing that rather than the “official” A road here. And no lorries 😬

maybe the odd tractor but even those are rare. For me, it works and I enjoy it. I’m in the 200 which has a few factory tweaks to make it handle a bit better anyway. It’s been a great car to drive.

I too, drive nearly 20 miles each way, usually on back roads by choice and can clearly, with great frustration, see that it is a very capable car (would like to try on Bedford Autodrome, with its gentle run off areas of grass) to build to and balance on the limit cornering - The thing is, Northamptonshire has a 1,000 potholes to try and navigate enroute on such a journey - many more than 3 inches deep, some Six inches!

I dream of being able to drive on rural continental perfect roads.....

I have a recent thread on here where I started researching suspension and tyre options to help deal with these utter nightmare roads. Realistically it is likely to cost £2k or more. With a clutch imminent, that is a serious commitment with an unknown outcome. - Particularly as saving for a TT Mk3 as I need the flappy paddle set up due to severe arthritis....I have yet to see how much better the TT rides. - I tried a Mk2 VR6 TT and that was exceptionally comfortable
