Do you think a Richbrook carbon fibre tax disc holder will make a good drinks coaster? :D

It's about time, they've been touting their computer system for years as a way to make sure you are valid so we've just been wasting paper - or they were lying :p

Told by a traffic warden that you still have to display your road tax untill it expires, so dont go chucking them yet.

Apparently you get a bar code to display (when they have fixed the computer LOL)

Mine was up at midnight today so I'll let you know how it goes having no tax disc in the window!! I also don't have a barcode as mentioned above!! Uh oh!! I have, however, kept the email confirming my payment etc!!

Kinda gutted too because I bought a pretty awesome laser engraved tax disc holder and it's only had 6 month's use!! :(

But it's my MINI owners group number :) those who have funcy tax disc holders will be able to keep using them. I even picked an orange disc to match the car and the 1304 is my birthday. In hindsight I should have tried to get the cars birthday 1406.

Guess I am mad :(

Official .Gov line:

"If you have any remaining months left on your current paper tax disc, you can either remove the tax disc from your vehicle or display the disc until it expires."

So, tell the traffic warden to read up on what he/she should actually be doing!!!

Lets face it traffic wardens aren't exactly the best paid in the world and my guess is you don't exactly need a university education on the table at the interview stage "pay peanuts get monkeys" springs to mind!
