Hi Steve, welcome to the forum!
Can't help you with the timing chain but I just installed a Brodit holder last weekend. No picure yet but I nicked this one from their site. The location is perfect for me and it looks good, not blocking anything.
The lens in the headlight unit would indicate that it's a Xenon unit but could it be an aftermarket unit? To be honest I don't see any difference between the two pictures but the 2011 photo isn't that clear.
Does the projector have the "Xenon" logo on the side like in the picture provided by...
NGK recommends the Platinum plugs (NGK 91530) for the RCZ 1.6 156HP at least, just put them in our car. For the 200 and 270 they recommend Iridium but what I can find there is no difference in the specs so not sure if it should drive any different.
What's the standard Peugeot plug, is that NGK...
Mine is an Obdlink LX, quote good. Fast and so far it has worked in any car I've tried it on (Renault Laguna, Mazda RX8, Renault Zoe, Nissan Leaf, you name it).
Don't worry, usually it's not that bad and you only hear about the horror stories. I'd advise an OBD dongle with Torque for every newer car, especially the direct injected types like BMW, Mini, Renault, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, etc. Most of it is common sense.
And it is still one of the most...
What I looked out for when buying our RCZ was the overall state of the engine in terms of oil and how clean it was. Off course listened for the chain rattle, it didn't. White smoke was present when cold but not too bad.
Used Torque with OBD dongle to check LTFT was below 10, it was -2. Checked...
If you like it don't change it. My experience is most people never use a cars maximum power and I can outdrive most people in a 145HP old MX-5
Our RCZ was tuned before we bought it (156->190 HP) and most of the time it's a lot nicer to just cruise but I don't know how it drives stock. My...
One of the things I've done to our RCZ is change the gear know as it had the rather tired looking standard version:
(not my picture)
The new one is a 2403 metal one:
One of the other options I looked at was a Citroen/DS one as well (2403 GF I believe):
It looks a lot better in my opinion.
I've used these leds for the last few cars, color temperature is 4000K and the fit is great as they are about the same size as an incandescent bulb. And the have the ridge on the socket to keep them in place as well:
Hi everyone, I'm Bart and just wanted to introduce myself as a new Peugeot and RCZ owner.
We recently got a RCZ from 2015, a Red Carbon version, with the 1.6 THP 156 engine although according to the paperwork it has been tuned to 190 HP. Mainly because of this we had the valves checked, which...
Don't know about the RCZ but I had a heated front windscreen in a Mondeo a few years ago and it drove me crazy. My eyes didn't know whether to focus on the wires in the windscreen or on the road.
It was nice in winter but most of the time it was just annoying.
