Same stick as mine…..and as said before they not the easiest to read for measurement, mine was roughly halfway so just topped up roughly half litre
Some engines are known to burn a little oil mine has used half a litre to 1000 miles I can live with that….probably worth keeping a litre bottle in...
Got the car back from the garage after been lowered it’s been dropped with Pi -25mm Springs (I measured before and after and fair to say its dropped 1” all round).....Ride I can only describe as excellent with road holding greatly improved with no bottoming out
While the car was in with Most of...
It comes down to how much £££ you want to spend but 2nd hand engine is the route I’d take which as we all know is a bit hit n miss wherever it’s a good one....Plus depending on the service record it might be worth changing the timing gear before fitting with easier access you will have.
I’m about to fit these to mine came in @£45 eBay inc extended bolts
Spacers are probably cheap enough to make but extended bolts ramp the price up....might be cheaper option to buy the kit same as I done plus the seating on Rcz bolts are not the usual radius or cone type fitting...
Just had pi...
They must be sticking a £340 labour charge on that to fit as they roughly around £300 a unit to buy..
If you could manage to take it off yourself a friend of mine roughly paid £60 to have his reconditioned there’s not a lot can go wrong with them ....might be a cheaper solution for you.
Clutch pedal on mine sits way to high but over time you adapt to keeping you foot off the pedal and not resting on it or you will smell the clutch burning in no time......as I did on mine!
I feel your grief as I went through it years ago those were the days of Arthur daily where consumers didn’t have a leg to stand on....by the looks of it those days are still here going by your post
Looking at your previous pictures of the camshafts I definitely say that’s water damage.
There are two types all comes down to size of the thread you’ll either have M14xM12 or M14xM10...
My phase2 Thp200 on a 13 plate is M14xM10....These manufactures with their cross over years on alternating parts is a bl00dy nightmare and those reference charts on eBay etc can be waste of time...
Basically cold heaters even when fully warmed up ( Temp gauge always good sat at halfway) the old thermostat probably been on since new so we changed it....A lot of comments on here blame the matrix for cold heaters but to be honest not a lot can go wrong with them and what you don’t realise you...
I changed mine a few weeks ago I put a post up on here in getting the right thermostat as there is different variants
There’s a bleed nipple right behind the thermostat on the hoses going through the bulkhead undo the nipple as I had a airlock there which can sometimes be a nightmare to get rid...
£84 is scandalous.......Keep an eye on Groupon deals I’ve had mine done at Ats for £35 for last couple years(Different cars)
Took my Rcz out this morning stuck a thermometer in centre vent Aircon was down to 3 degrees...cant complain with that.
Same trouble with mine goes up no problem (all jokes aside) coming down stops halfway then goes back up just wouldn’t close fully.....sprayed some grease on all the Mechanisms inside when in raised positions now working A1 off the button
