    Oil

So is that why people call diesels 'oil-burners'? 😅

    Oil

Thanks, Plasma. The garage said they'd have put 0w-30 in, which I gather (from another youtube video!) is less viscous at lower (cold engine) temperatures? So I got some of that, figuring it might be better not to mix it with 5w-30, though not sure if that matters? It's Valvoline, supposedly...

    Oil

Thanks, Flanners! That's really helpful. I do less than 10,000 miles a year, so 4 months will be 3000, or 3500 tops. No signs of leakage, and the car is only just out of main dealer warranty, having been bought on 35,000 miles in June 2021. So I suspect local garage may have been a little...

    Oil

I'm a bit unsure about this, too, top up warning having flashed up on dashboard. Dipstick in my HDI (14 plate) has plastic end with odd markings. Why can't they just put max and min?! Obviously it's low, but how high to fill it? Also: what grade of engine oil? Manual strangely silent on the...

Spotted: White RCZ - North Shropshire/Welsh borders

Haha. A typical reaction from by election residents! It's all recycled paper, I think! ;) And the experience is that leaflets certainly show who is the main challenger, if anyone was in any doubt. Remember that they are ALL delivered by volunteers, apart from one for each party - they are all...

Spotted: White RCZ - North Shropshire/Welsh borders

Seen any orange placards yet, Bas? Lots of Lib Dem friends telling me it's going well, but of course, they have a vested interest in persuading me to go and help... 😂

Off the road...but could have been worse!

Wider shot, showing where the damage is for those who, like me, aren't engine experts.

Off the road...but could have been worse!

Unfortunately, the car is parked outside at night. We have a wooden garage, full of other stuff, but some of that's been eaten by mice in the past, too! (Nothing of huge value, fortunately). With regard to Mike's cat suggestion, I noticed that next door's cat was hanging about the drive when we...

Off the road...but could have been worse!

So Tuesday, I took the RCZ HDi out and the engine stuttered a bit 500m up the road, then again, and again, then engine warning light, "please repair" flashing at me. Turned around, went home. Booked into local garage for today for diagnostic. This morning, car won't start at all... I'm imagining...

Spotted: White RCZ - North Shropshire/Welsh borders

No, but I gather lots of my friends are going to deliver political leaflets in that area, so could be a by election worker, maybe (of any party). Get ready for the deluge! Have you spotted m/any placards, yet? Friends of mine who used to run the Liberal club in Orpington Kent, now run the Bailey...

    20 inch staggered wheels

Do come back and share some pictures if you go ahead. I'd love to see them, and I'm sure others would, too.

    Tuned diesel RCZ

Yes, Neil - many of us are old fogeys, and 8 seconds to 60mph is quite fast enough, thank you! Especially on Norfolk country lanes, with a car a foot wider than the family SEAT... 😅 But this thread spells out some of the issues: trying to reach 250 hp on a 2.0 HDi RCZ

    Red 64 plate Suffolk/Essex

Moroccan Red RCZ with black arches followed me (red with silver arches, as pictured) through Brantham, Suffolk, and Lawford, Essex on Wednesday, about 10am. First other red I've seen in 5 months ownership! Anyone here? It was a 64 plate.

    G’Day from Sydney, Australia.

Welcome, and thanks for telling us your whole Pug story! I think it's great when people write a bit more! 🙂 (Imagining Rachel, from Friends: A FIAT???? Ross: We were on a break...! 😅) I've been a bit more fickle myself, but my second ever car was a "Bronze" 205GT 4-door, with the...

    Hi

Welcome Anna! Must admit the multiple FB groups and Instagram enthusiasts have rather hijacked my attention to the forum. (Sorry guys!) I'm TA Gilbert, there, btw. Had my RCZ 5 months on Monday, and still loving it! 😀❤️

    Newbie RCZ Owner

Welcome! Red is the best colour, I think! ❤️😉 If yours is the same as mine it's Moroccan Red (known as Rouge Erythrée in France, I gather). There was also 'Amber Red', on the Mark 1 RCZ (2010-12) which is an 'oranger' hue, but still good! 🧡 Do post some pictures, if you wish. Not long finished...

Help needed by newbie RCZ owner

Welcome - been away, and first time I've seen this thread. Glad you got sorted. I'm sure there are re- mapping threads on here, and also on the RCZ Facebook groups (though 163 is quite enough at my age... 😅) I'm in South Norfolk, about 25km south of Norwich (which I visit frequently) btw, so...
