When I first bought mine I had an oil leak at the back of the engine. It was dripping off the sump but the cause was much higher up. I bought an endescope camera to attach to my phone only about a tenner on Ebay and poked it around the top rear of the engine and it looked a right mess. I had...
Dont know if they still mix paint either? They did a spray can for me about 15 years ago so I could spray eyebrows a matching colour to a BMW I had at the time.
I don't remember the pens though may be I wasn't looking for them.
Looks good dude. Its a Mk 1 with a NG4 sat nav possibly a GT as its leather. Need to know the colour and engine spec is it a diesel or petrol? Does it have xenon lights or regular lights to pin it down.
Do you have oil leaking on the floor on your drive? The tensioner is a mother to tighten up properly have they done a proper job tightening it up? If not the tensioner hole will throw oil all down the back of your engine and you be topping it up a lot.
Welcome. I go to work in mine from time to time and its just around the corner from where you have taken those pictures at Castlefield/Deangate two of us park up on the same car park at work one black and one white. Nice Z btw.
It would appear that some owners have had them removed to wrap them and some owners have had them done in situ. I wont pretend to know anything about wrapping but I'm sure the people who do the job would know better. I would put a temp seal in there before water gets in. I sillicon glued my...
They do look like they may have been taken off before as mentioned and not fitted properly. For now I'd be looking at some black sillicon sealant in that gap to stop moisture getting in. For the window you could try clear sillicon sealant. Just tape off the body and glass area and leave it to...
The filler cap being off has caused un metered air through the PCV system. After you have topped up the oil take for a long drive 30 miles or so without stopping and the fans should go off after when you eventually stop the engine. It will rest itelf. I bet its a mess under that bonnet!
Thats pretty erratic moving every five seconds. My best guess is new Thermastat Housing but check all the air hoses and PCV hoses just incase they have worked loose.
Because P2279 is associated to un metered air in the intake manifold I had the same error code when my PCV hose came loose at the...
What engine is it and have you had/done any work/engine mods recently? If its a 156 I'd say you need either a new Temp Sensor on the coolant bottle or a new Thermostat Housing if youve not had any work done. If you have had the engine modded i.e air filter and inlet modifications then make sure...
Try turning full lock Left and then Right whilst parked and listen for any stange noises on the power steering. If its normal then the power steering should be ok check its not leaking under the car as well. Do a couple of emergancy stops to check your brakes are not binding or getting hotter...
Yes some of the Motorway ones are on mine. Some smart motorway ones around Birminham on my way back from Devon displayed 40mph but the satnav gave a 50mph read out warning. Also noticed it around Manchester Motorways but my local A road speed alerts have been correct.
Another thing I noticed is...
I have updated to 2016 and then on to 2021 (thanks to NF7) both updates were Free and both caused no issues at all. The Paid ones from my friend who had a 308 (disks and memory sticks) were a nightmare and he paid £30!
Yes I have thanks to NF7 and his links. I can confirm that the 2021 NG4 maps update do accept the full UK postcodes. The update also includes new traffic Speed/Traffic Light/ and Bus Lane camera locations with the warnings on approaching them. The only issue is that the Sat Nav does not provide...
