As some of you may recall I changed my 19" rims for 18"s.
However I would like to know what the correct tyre pressures should be.
My "wonderful" Peugeot dealer said to run them at the same pressures as
the 19" rims which I believe are displayed on A pillar. I have my doubts.
The car is a TDi so...
UPDATE: These re-furbed and unused 19" wheels are still for sale.
All the details are posted above. I had some welcome interest from a board member in Yorks but
despite them being an absolute bargain (his opinion) he was unable to arrange transport
for them from Kent to Yorkshire.
The price is...
OK!! I'm back (after more illness!). Although John wanted my freshly refurbed wheels and tyres he couldn't arrange transport "oop north" to Yorkshire. So, I've still got them and they are still for sale. Please be aware that these refurbed wheels are back to OEM spec and have not been fitted to...
OK! I'm back again. It's been a busy few days getting wheels all done and interspersed by hospital visits.
So I've fitted the 18" rims I bought from Richard (2retro). They're now a subtle matte anthracite colour.
And thus I have a set of OEM 19" rims which I have had refurbed last week in gloss...
Firstly, apologies for my apparent absence.....age does nothing for health problems!
'Kay first off: My RCZ HDi has 37,000 ish miles on the odometer. It is, however, almost nine years old.
Should I be looking to change the cam belt due to age??
Secondly: I bought some 18" rims from a member...
Much more of your cheek, young man, and I'll get my RCZ wrapped the same as yours! It is very nice and I've already made some wrapping enquiries. Really I'm perhaps looking for a clear iridescent or prismatic wrap. But a striking colour flip may also work.....got to sell the trike first though....
From "The scarlet capsule" : It's the head of a skull! Must be a woman; the mouth's open!"
We'll never see humour like that again........although Kenny Everett gave it a fair shot:
From Kremmen of the Star Corps: [Kremmen] "Last week I joined the new country club which has just opened near me"...
Actually the literal quote would be:
[Neddy Seagoon] "Laugh and the world laughs with you, they say."
[Wallace Greenslade] "You've proved them wrong, haven't you, Neddy!"
Sorry about that but I can almost recite that script off the top of my head!
I'm a big time Goon Show fan and as I'm older than you I claim first dibs!! LOL
That is a quote from either "The Scarlet capsule" or "Tales of men's Shirts (A story of downunder!)"
So there!
That 1560cc PSA diesel motor is a cracking engine provided that you feed it the correct oil and observe servicing intervals. My first was in a M92 (06) Berlingo which was a superb vehicle and I still really miss it! It was chipped to run smoothly at 30mph in top and on a long run it gave...
OK! I'm going to try something here......My 19" OEM rims are shortly going to be offered for sale.
They are going to be refurbed so if you're looking for a pair in almost any specific colour you'll be in luck!
Tell me what colour you're looking for and I will have the refurb carried out in that...
Thanks for the compliments! The leather is a light grey which is nice.
The wheels are 'kin horrible! Don't get me wrong....I quite like the gloss black finish but
they ride overly harsh so 18s are on the way and the existing 19s will be refurbed and sold on.
Well Neil, although the precise cause of the breakage was not revealed to me, it had to be negligence and in my book, you damage a customer's property you come clean and admit it and apologise sincerely with maybe some form of good will gesture thrown in to help soften the blow and to ameliorate...
Unlike most, apparently, I don't really like uber low profile wheels and tyres.
I have some OEM 19" gloss black rims with (various) tyres which were fitted to my HDi at purchase.
I think that 19" rims give an unnecessarily harsh ride for no real purpose other than cosmetics.
Most people don't...
