I see Alcon do spare pistons 41.3mm at £38.23, I guess for 2 and they do 38.1mm, same price. But not sure if the 38.1mm is right? It seems 38.1mm is quite often used, but 37.8mm I can't find anyone else who uses it so maybe the 38.1mm is the one? But you would still have steel pistons. I'm...

Just wondering are all these tyres available with a load rating of 92 as per oem for the R or do you have to go up to 96? And if so has anyone noticed any difference in ride quality when going form a 92 to a 96?

Very generous to offer advice etc but from what I've read so far I'd say the OP doesn't have the confidence to start tinkering without a very basic step by step guide starting right at the beginning of what needs to be done. :roll:

Lol maybe I should have pointed out that the shells are crushed first not whole! Also there are a lot more minis around than RCZ's so more chance you will find the same faults recorded.

If this is the problem,(not saying it is) it's not quite as drastic as it sounds. The engine doesn't have to come completely apart just the inlet manifold off to allow access to the inlet valves. The inlet valves tend to be the ones that can have a build-up of carbon and it's quite common to...

Thanks guys, it's a 2014 with 27,000 miles with 1 previous owner. I will put up a few more photos once it's had a good clean, I think the recent rain we have had must have come from the Sahara. I'd be surprised if there was any sand left there now as it seems to have been all dumped in East...

on a Renalut Laguna I once had with the same problem the fix was to over inflate by 20 odd psi then deflate to the correct pressure.Even if it doesn't work it's cheap :beer:

You may be right. Was the fix a change in pad material? Would be nice to know if the discs are the same dimensions though :crazy:

Did the 308gti suffer from squealing too? I would have thought Peugeot and Alcon would have learnt what went wrong by now.
