Not really sure AEK but don't the head unit need re-coding to the car? Most units have a code that you have to input, but this usually comes straight on when you power the unit up?

I'm not dissing it either way but I thought it would be a fire hazard with the heat. And the paint fusing to the pads would decrease functionality wouldn't it ? Either way it's not for me.
