Have you tried WD40 ? Apparently that is very good for cleaning barbeques etc and could do the trick with your pipes? Here in the UK as Neil said - Autosol is one of the very best chrome cleaners.

:D I know it did take a little longer than I thought, but this was mainly down to the fact the connectors on the after market sensors - all snapped in the firewall and I had to contact the company that makes these and buy new sensor leads, and it was a pain getting them into the car. If you...
