Hi, when your oil is new or low mileage I've noticed the dipstick is very hard to show oil up on so a quick dab onto a bit of kitchen towel does the trick and you can gauge where the oil level is. :thumbup:

I totally agree the Mk1 front end is the one to go for! Go for the lowest mileage MK1 GT you can afford. Why buy a MK2 just for the sake of a newer plate and have to put up with that confused snout! Good luck
