Just completed the yearly trial of looking for insurance quotes.

Having had my details in the comparison sites for the last few years, its amazing that when you go through to a insurance company they still quote things of old that have been changed (even to an unused company).

Well the comparison sites were all much of a muchness quoting me about £230 ish plus the extras.

the cheapest quotes I got were from Hastings, but I renewed with the same company as last year People's Choice (which is another trading name for Hastings) for £204 (but had to fight to get my mod included at that price, otherwise another £23 for a mod I was told made no difference to the price).

So next month the yearly trials start all over again, but this time for my bikes!

And there was me thinking I would start getting bored not being at work!

I can recommend Admiral. Very professional when I crashed my RCZ. Very smooth process, reason way I'm with them again. Unless some company offers a really lower price, I'm willing to stay with them.

Hi just had my renewal through from admiral £299 fully comp old codger full no claims been with them 3 years paid £230 last year looked at comparison sites and found a few for around £200 but looked at Aviva direct who don't do comparison sites they quoted me £180 fully comp only £150 total excess too! Bargain I'd say so paid up there and then. Rang Admiral to tell em not to "automatically" renew and straight away knocked £80 off me renewal! So why not offer that in the first place? If they had I may not have shopped about. Most insurance companies try it on when it comes to your renewal quote and as s matter of principal I wouldnt renew with a company who over inflates their renewal quote.
