Never heard it officially probably because Peugeot won't admit that there was a problem with the tensioner in the first place so not sure when the new tensioner made it to production cars but I haven't heard of anyone having that problem in a MK2 car.

Hi, it's possible that the tensioner isn't putting full tension on the chain one start up then has done its job the next! I believe its hydraulic powered so as the oil pressure builds up the better it works thus quieting down the chain. It's the tensioner that has been redesigned to sort this...

Hi, your dealer is totally fobbing you off! A Peugeot dealer never hearing of the death rattle on a RCZ??? What a load of rubbish! Dig your heels in this is covered under your warranty and needs sorting asap! Let us know how you get on. :eusa-think:
