Yes, they are. But I have to take a bit of your satisfaction away here by saying, pretty normal for the R :wave: R only starts drinking when pushed hard on motorways. Other than that, it stays at high 30ish mpgs.

BTW I got my clutch replaced too. That noise was down to worn pressure plate on the clutch. The bearing itself was still OK and the plate was like new. Almost no wear after over 70.000 miles. My garage did it in one day. One :) Finger crossed!

I test drove the 308 GTi too. A very good car but a different piece of cake compared to the RCZ R. In the RCZ R you feel more planted and connected to the road. It is more of a driver's car. Nevertheless if I had to choose btw a Golf GTI and the pug 308 my choice would be always french.

What also helps is to switch to other tyre brand. The differences are huge. A lot of older RCZ still roll on Conti tyres. Those are very harsh when it comes to rolling comfort. Switch to GoodYear or the newest Michelin PS4S and the RCZ is like transformed and more comfortable without loosing...
